Help with Java and running media

I have no idea what happening but all of a sudden I couldn't view youtube stuff nor would my computer recognize my DVD drive. I got the drive going by deleting my upper and lower filters in the registry.

But I can't view any youtube stuff. It says to get the latest Adobe Flash Player which I have.

Help!

Have you tried restarting your computer?

Oh yeah. I've downloaded software and restarted several times. Could it be codecs? Corrupted registry or software or OS?

I use Vista. I deleted my high and low filters using regedit and fixed the problem. Vista still sucks. Thanks for the reply.
