Henry seems to play real good in zone coverage...he seems to play real good when he dosent have to follow just 1 reciever n is able to watch the quarterback..he looked pretty good last week on that deep pass when he was back there at safety..

i kno we have Glenn...but should we put henry at safety n leave him n watkinks deep..n put roy up closer to the line?...

i dunno he seems so much more confident in zone

I love the idea of Henry at free safety. It's been discussed to death, though. My two cents are: (1) He's an excellent tackler and can lay the wood and (2) his lack of speed, or agility more precisely, would suit him better at the free safety position where he wouldn't be in man coverage very often. He has incredible awareness however as you point out, which is great for the FS position.

Basically, he's everything you'd want in a FS. The problem -- who we get to replaced him at CB next year? My guess would be a first round CB.

The saddest part is that next year his salary is $3.6 MM base. He had a $10 MM signing bonus so we're essentially paying him $6 MM next season.

Unless a miracle happens, I don't see him meriting that kind of pay.

yea i kno...he better be outstanding...and have a int return..or a game changing play that allows us to win...i dont kno...

i dont like watching henry defend slants...n i dont like him pressing recievers..cuz they will get behind him

i like the idea of trying glenn out over there..n henry at safety....they dont have big 6-3 n above recievers..soo it couldnt hurt glenn

Glenn would get eaten alive if he were an every down CB.

so run a 3-3-5? 3 line men, 3 line backers 5 defensive backs...just have roy between the line backers and safetys, safetys could cover deep line backers flats and immediate middle Roy- middle

maybe put Glenn against Branch, Henry at FS and they can rotate by putting parrish in at FS and Henry back to CB in some plays. idk i hope parcells haves a secret.

It's funny how fast they moved Henry off of that free safety position last week after showing it once in the game. Maybe Parcells has something up his sleeve. Looked like Henry nearly had the interception the one time he was playing free safet, plus I think he's played the position before.

Henry will not be back next year.

His play has been sub par this season, especially the 2nd half.

Glenn is another one that probably needs to go.

some gomers here really are blind. There is not a better 3rd CB in the league - Glenn is smart and experienced and still had decent speed. Match him up with someone like Roy WIlliams and of course he is toast. So would 95% of ALL CBs in the NFL. That is why he is a 3RD CB. Henry as FS would be something to look at hard if Reeves/Jones can step up. He has played the position before and certainly would not be as bad as the losers we have had play there this season. So what if he is making $6 million- if he can prevent long receptions and save games that is CHEAP.

Wrong!!!

You DONT put you 5'9 corner on a 6'3 receiver unless he is your number one!! ESPECIALLY in a Goaline situation or probable fade.. Sure Dre Bly is 5'9 as well and he was matched up on T.O in the redzone, BUT he is there #1 corner..

Henry should play FS and a first round DB that ideally can play both S/CB is a must...

Roy Williams is very under rated; and I stand by my post that 95% of the CBs in the NFL if put on him one on one would get toasted. Its not ALL about height, though that is a factor. If you are giving up 7" then I do not care how good you are you are in trouble.
