i for one hope that he proves himself and comes into training camp with confidence to compete for the back-up job. we already gave up the pick for him, so we need to maximize his opportunities to learn and grow.

Stupid thread. No one is suggesting there is a comparison between the NFL and NFLE. Any playing time Henson gets is better than none.

At this point, somebody ought to mention what Parcells had to say about NFL Europe-- you can't prove you belong in the NFL over there, but you CAN prove that you DON'T belong...

IOW, Drew's job was to do exactly what he did last weekend, be one of the best, if not THE best, player in NFLE... anything less, and he might not even make it to training camp...

IMHO, Henson will be miles ahead of Romo when TC starts.

Henson will have a full season of NFLE, what does Romo have? Absolutely nothing, nada, zip. Granted it's NFLE, but it's still more than what Romo has.

Also, there's been a lot made of Romo's "gunslinger" mentality. That's fine and dandy, but you couple that w/ a less than a spectacular arm...well, that'll result in a lot of INT's. At least Henson has the arm strength to overcome some poor judgements.

On a final note, to all the naysayers belittling Henson's accomplishments in NFLE b/c it's "just" NFLE Europe, should perhaps reverse course and start thinking "look at what's he's been able to accomplish w/ whatb he has to work w/ (ala inexperienced Ol play, RBs and WRs).
