Does anyone know if Henson signed with another team? I remember seeing someone saying Indy may sign him but I haven't seen anything official. Just curious as we get closer to opening day. I seriously doubt we will see him facing the boys anytime soon but I am curious how his career turns out.

I read something that said he was going to sign with the Colts (I think) after the 1st game of the season. It would make sense for a team to wait until after the first game so they are not locked into a guaranteed vet salary; if he qualifies for that.

Thats what the word is. Not sure how he figures he'll ever get on the field with them.

At this point, it is about getting a paycheck, not getting playing time. He'll take what he can get.

Henson could retire today and live happily ever after...

No, but one thing that we all know is that athletes will hang around for as long as teams will write them checks.

When I make my millions <snickers>, I'll continue to look for ways to make more money. That is the way it is. If you look at the list of the richest people in the US, every single one of them is still trying to make more money. Henson isn't immune from the same thing.

Maybe that's why he never panned out as a QB? Maybe somewhere in the back of his mind he knows that he's already set, money wise.

Maybe he was not as hungry as a QB coming in, so he did not do what was needed to suceed?

Oh, well...

Here's my take on Henson signing with the Colts. He has to think that it is going to be a short contract and in that time he will get plenty of real QB coaching. Studying alongside Manning under Caldwell is a positive. On the off chance that Manning goes down and he actually sees game time he will have some very good WRs to throw to.

If he takes a 1 or 2 year deal I think this is why he would sign, if he takes longer he is looking for a paycheck.

I'm done with Henson, time to move on.
