They need for the refs to be fair. Oh yeah...I still haven't seen the ball hit the ground on the Dez catch!!!
That's the angle of the play to this day that I don't get. Sure the ball moved IN HIS GRIP and when he rolled it popped up a bit. But where does anything in that process indicate an actual drop as we know it??! That element is rarely discussed in the media coverage that drones on to this day whenever the catch conversation rears its head. Smh.

They found their chance to do a number on us, & they took it! It is sad, but it is our reality as Cowboy fans.

zebras costing NFL money.

how much did the NFL lose this season on this SB because of the zebras?

if the NFL wants to level up they need to get rid of their yankee (east coast) bias and be more objective. its costing them paper. for real.
Here's my main issue with reffing - they have NEVER HAD FULL TIME REFS IN THE HISTORY OF THE LEAUGE. LET THAT SINK IN!!!! I mean football is a multi-trillion dollar industry for goodness' sake!?! And they announce some week gesture recently where they will add 17 full timers and increase crew sizes by one...what in holy heck is that supposed to fix?!!

Gotta call BS on all that...the NFL is a sham and disgrace not to have full time paid officials. Shoot - if they had that perhaps I could live with the occasional bad call as you do in the NBA or baseball (traveling in the NBA has now reach pathetic joke level status BTW). But at least you'd know the NFL is taking their commitment to sound officiating seriously. Their hypocrisy and greed know no bounds!!!

preach dude!

the NFL wants enough subjectivity to exist in these rules the zebras call so they can be directors of what teams advance and what teams don't.

not to say that teams aren't responsible at all for their success. it's a mix of both. the NBA does it too. its part WWE.

:muttley: Preach it!

Seriously though, who did the refs keep out of the Super Bowl (not the NFC title game, but the Super Bowl)?

It goes beyond having full time refs. It goes into recruiting, training and continued training of these refs to find better referees.

And I really think if they had that going on for them, they wouldn't even need the refs to be full time.

Instead, you have almost zero recruitment of referees, obviously poor training and a VP of Officiating who has NEVER REFEREED A GAME ON ANY LEVEL (pro, semi-pro, college, high school or Pop Warner) and he is in charge of the refs and instead of getting rid of bad refs who make the wrong calls...he would rather just spin it to being the right call.

Full time refs won't help a lick if the same clowns are running the show.

i believe its a mix of both.

packers were not competitive enough to keep game close to leave up to subjectivity in the ref game.

when u blow a team out you also blow the zebras out of putting them in a position to make critical calls that will change the game. star players get star calls (lebron, durant, westbrook etc.) and aggressive showy teams get the calls in their favor more times than not.

im a spurs fan too and i realized when the spurs were working on their 5th ship that they would not only have to beat the other team but also have to beat them so bad that it would leave refs out of determining a game.

spurs beat their opponents by 15+ pts on average especially the heat.

Yeah the super bowl needs the Cowboys... or at least the ratings and media need them.

But we're the ones keeping ourselves from getting there.

Not for much longer though.
