Rush is a veteran backup who knows the offense as well as anyone so there is no reason for them not to be able to utilize most of the playbook.

I am looking forward to see if he can move the ball, or if he runs into the same issues Dak had.

I think he's simply saying MM will call the same plays, and not much will change from the playbook. Nothing is directed at either quarterback. This is nothing new; we hear it all the time. All coaches have backup quarterbacks who they think can best run their offense.

Colin is bang on the money. Many of us told people on here the same yet got labelled as haters when we are merely Dallas Cowboy fans who want the best for the team.

One of the main problems for Dak now is that he's immobile. Very few quarterbacks not named Tom Brady or Peyton Manning could justify only being pocket passers in the modern NFL - even Drew Brees had a limited impact towards the backend of his career arguably for that reason.

In my thread earlier this week of the arguable top 10 quarterbacks in the league right now, 9 of them have mobility. Not running quarterbacks but guys who can extend plays and rushing for a first down without tearing their hamstring.

Dak isn't a pure pocket passer, he's immobile and struggled with a number of different injuries in recent years. His contract is a recipe for disaster.

Fangio's comment is as vanilla as it gets. Cowherd tried to turn in into something by invoking Patrick Mahomes. Nobody on Earth can do what Mahomes does. I bet, though, a DC would make the same statement if Mahomes was out and Wentz was in.

Dak is an average QB. Anyone who watches the games can tell you that. He’s dangerous rolling out on the run. That’s it. Why do you think teams sell out to stop the run against us? No one fears Dak Prescott.

I am far from a Dak defender but Cowherd is gaslighting here. If you watch the actual interview he’s basically talking about how the Cowboys won’t have to change much because Rush has been around the team for years and knows the offense.

He’s not talking about the skill sets, for example, of the two guys.
