Here to take my beating on the Skins

Yeah, I haven't talked smack all season..... but, here I am to take what's coming to me.

I know, we are as close to 0-4, as we are to 4-0, 1-3, 2-2, etc.

Between the two of us. I can't think of two other teams in the same division who have lost or won so many close games this early in the season. Our 1st 3.... your games against San Diego, Oakland, San Fran were all close. Could have all gone either way.

No matter..... this was deflating for sure. I would have liked that safety they took away. I thought when you slap the ball out of your own throwing hand....that would count as a fumble.

I was more impressed with your loss today than any of your wins. Denver is a tough place to play.

Props to ya for keeping it that close.

And it's nice to see the entire NFC East not making it a shoo-in for the Eagles again.

And not have the divison pooh-poohed as a 'weak one'.

The elevated level of competition will hopefully make us all better.

Can we all agree on one thing? We'd just like the damn Eagles to lose the NFC East this year and be everyone's whipping boy? There are a lot of Cowboys, Skins and Giants fans who would like some payback for years of Philly dominance.

the Eagles winning the East isn't a big deal to anybody, but Philly.

8 teams every year, win their division.

25% of the league wins their division.

Not so special now, eh?

I just want to see my team improve every week....and keep building on the things that are going right.....then fix the things that are wrong.

I'm done being pissed at Refs. The NFL needs to have their Refs full-time, even if the season is so short. Its unfortunate that so many teams every year have a game or two each that are fully won or lost by a yellow flag that could easily have no been thrown.

Sup amigo. You know, Brunnell has played really well. Denver is a tough place to go play and you played them to the very end. I got no smack for you. Glad you came by.

That call was a make up call on a missed PI call earlier in the drive. You can't hang on WR's after 5 yards...and their boys were.

Make ups are even worse than missing the call in the 1st place.

I firmly believe in Parcells' quote, "You are what you are." No what ifs. No butts. No ands.

NFC East is becoming a force again and that is good for everyone in the East. The Skins, Boys and Giants have all won superbowls when the East was tough. It wasn't that long ago that if you could win our division, you were well on your way.

I actually think this has hurt the Eagles. The whole division has been in a slump the last 4 or 5 years IMO. So, the Eagles have several games a year they could count on not getting their jerseys dirty. That never serves you well in the playoffs.

I've posted on extremeskins and I'll say it here again too, I hope every team in this division is tough this year. I hope we all improve. I hope every team we face is healthy and ready. And I also hope we beat them in a fair fistfight. Cause when we do, the playoffs tend to lead to superbowl victories.

Good luck for 11 more games this year. Guess which one I wish you NO luck for...

I bet Andy Reid wishes for the good ol' days when Jim Fassell was the best coach he had to face. Fassell, Spurrier, and Campo are a far cry from Parcells, Gibbs and Coughlin.

its always the refs fault when Wash loses, everyone knows this.

on another note: i have to agree that the refs SUCK this year in general.
They rely on the instant replay instead of making a good call the first time. Not to mention that about half the time the booth doesn't get the call right either! I'm about sick of instant replay too. I know its a necessary evil because partly of declining ref play but it seems like every freakin play gets reviewed, play is stopped, commercial break, momentum breaker, game extended, and then the booth may or may not get it right anyway. Getting REAL OLD!
