NFL | League considering Monday night doubleheader
Sat, 11 Feb 2006 09:15:11 -0800

Sam Farmer, of the Los Angeles Times, reports the NFL and ESPN are considering opening the Monday night schedule with a doubleheader. The two are giving "serious consideration" to having a game at 6 pm ET and 9 pm ET. The only other doubleheader came during Week 2 of the 2005 season so the New Orleans Saints could play their "home" opener against the New York Giants.

I am not believing any stories anymore unless they come from the NFL. Acouple of weeks ago, MSNBC reported we were going to be the night game on Thanksgiving. That never came or was repoted anywhere in the NFL. Tagliabue said no.
So, I will believe this when I hear it from the NFL.

as long as both games are televised on espn, i have less of a problem w/ this than the whole nfl network nonsense.

Actually that WAS going to happen until Jerry Jones stepped in. Then Tags said no.
