No listen to me i'm gonna double down Even if Milton goes into the season as the number two and that gets hurt in that game he'll come in next game Sam Howell will be starting and he will be the backup guaranteed depending on the injury if if he misses multiple games Sam Howell will get the nod guaranteed You watch I don't care if he starts the season as the number two guy and Sam Howell's emergency 3rd the very next game or games Sam Howell will do the long reliever role I promise you...

I don't think you understand what I'm saying and I'm booking that I don't care how they go into the season if Prescott gets hurt for multiple games or a long stretch Sam Howell will take the reins until the season is lost then Milton will get it I promise you I know how this damn owner thinks and he will make sure the season isn't handed over to a Raw and hasn't even saw the light come on yet for the season he just spent all this money on the defense and whatnot he will not give the reins to Sam Howell you damn right 250 plus words because you don't get it I want you to bookmark it and receipt everything I say..

No I'm not I know Jerry he's not handed the keys to his new defense and is one more year with George Pickens and the way they built this team to a damn raw player who has not seen it yet happy Feet came back it is what it is and yes Milton might be the number two going in but the very next game if Dak is not going to play one game or more like a long reliever role sam Howell will be starting that game and Milton then will be the number two again isn't that funny you're right and I'm also right he will be the number two to start and the number two behind Sam Howell...

Ive heard from the Shannon Sharpe podcast, now I just heard it on NFL Network that Milton is too good to not be starting somewhere. Well, reality is he is on a rookie deal and still have next season under that rookie deal..... so he isnt going anywhere. And no, those of you asking about trading him.... not a chance with the way he has played this preseason.

Then, they started talking about Shiyazh Pete and if he will be on the roster. Bahahhah.... holy crap, that is your proof the Cowboys are America's team when you spend time talking about a player who has zero chance of making the team.

QB2's and QB3's have been tearing it up all preseason all over the NFL. Why? Because the CBs who can cover and the DL's who bring pressure are standing around telling bad jokes.

You make a great point. If the season at any point comes down to where any of those guys are that damn important - then WE IN TROUBLE

I agree with you but if we get in the heads of our front office which we know very well and the coaching staff look at what they did this year it's really obvious whether they make Milton the QB2 to start the season that's OK he's not gonna see the field but if Prescott gets hurt he'll finish that game but if it's for any length of time one to four games or more and the Cowboys are still in it they are not handing the keys to the car and all this investment in time including George Pickens only having this year possibly with the Cowboys left they are not giving the keys to the car to Milton who's not ready....

So yes Milton May somehow be named QB2 for a game or two be sitting there waiting and then if Prescott gets hurt the game comes on out plays but if it becomes a thing where they need to win games I guarantee Sam Howell is the starter and yes Milton will still be QB2 see how I can like resolve this sure if you want Milton to be QB2 that's how he remains QB2..

To me Sam Howell is basically Cooper Rush with more mobility.. He would be a long reliever he'd be the only one on his team that the Cowboys can give that offense to along with this new defense and still have a chance it would be embarrassing and a ridiculous mistake to give Milton this team if they still have a shot this year in Prescott's down for five or six games or the whole season until the season is truly ruined you don't hand the keys to Milton..

Nothing against him I just want the veteran who with this starting offense knows how to just be that guy and not try to do too do too much you know we don't want a bright eyed happy feet like Milton trying to do too much.

Just like Cooper Rush with this team Sam Howell can just hand the ball off complete some passes run for a few yards but not overdo it. I just can't trust Milton yet... That I don't want him to see him develop like yes but not on the real time that they've just spent two seasons with losing records and want to get back I just don't see the front office or this coaching staff wanting Milton for long relief.

lol true, Yeah but the thing is when it's quarterbacks all bets are off look at what San Francisco did moving up They wasted three first round picks on Trey Lance happens all the time so it's not unheard of in this case that there are some teams out there experiencing some problems especially Arizona that's why somebody mentioned Arizona They might give a 3rd round pick for Milton if the hype was real.. They haven't contract issues with their alleged starter who's not that good anyway But yes you're right typically I can see that they're doing that with Sam Williams trying to get a 7th round pick nobody's giving a pick for Sam Williams because they know you're going to cut him anyway..

I agree. He had 2 good preseason games in his career and because of one pretty spiral he is starting material

If that's the case then somebody should pay us a first eound pick for him and I will make that trade in half a heartbeat

This preseason showed that he has improved, no doubt about that. He looked more poised and comfortable and not as quick to run.

IMO he's still a "we'll see" guy. There is potential there, but yeah, folks gotta put away the anointing oil for now.
