I wonder if it's just player preference as to which style of helmet they get?

Well, those new helmets might take some getting used to but as long as that star is there, it shouldn't be too hard at all.

It sure does appear the designers have gone somewhat more modernistic but as long as the star remains, it's all good!

To be totally honest, I'm starting to feel more attached to it the more I'm looking at it. Evidently, it'll do, just fine & dandy.

I like the new style helmets, supposedly lighter and safer too. I'm surprised they keep the old style around.
