With the way we have been playing the last month and hell even further back into last year we keep hearing that its the coaching that is at fault. We keep reading and hearing about how a team with this much talent should be better, Phillips has so much talent and this is what we get and so on. Maybe it's time to say that his team is not that talented. Maybe we just have bad players. Obviously we are talented on offense but maybe we just have sorry players on defense. Seriously ask yourself who on the defensive side other than Ware and Newman when healthy, and possibly Ratliff do you see stepping into a starting roll anywhere else in the league? I may be way off on this but since we have seen them play this way for Parcells also maybe we should come to the realization that we just are not that talented. All opinions are welcome.

I would say we lack talent on D

Spears and Canty are JAGs, they don't take heat off the LBs, Ellis is ageing

Bradie James is slow and unathletic

u r right on defensive side.minus Newman ,ware,and rat.The dline blows.Henry is awful.Hamlin is soso.RW lost it.Ellis old.Spencer soft.Carp a bust.Zach is good yet too old.Time to keep the good ones drop the bad and go to 4-3.Henry to safety where he can compete better.He is too slow for CB.

This is what I am thinking as well. Our D line is bad outside of Ratliff. Outside of Ware I don't like any of the linebackers. I think Spencer will be fine once he gets on the field. What happened to the ball hawking that Hamlin did last year?

I don't disagree with your thoughts, but I can't get my focus off of the offensive line.

This is where I think we've over-inflated our opinion of the talent.

Good point because I agree with you. This O line sucks. I guess my thoughts were directed at how all the ire this team seems to be drawing comes at Wade being Mr. Fix It and Brian Stewart sucking. I just think if we put the best dc in here I think the results would be the same.

Yeah, I don't discount what you're saying. I had really high hopes for this defense. On paper, it should be good. I don't know what the problem is. I think you're right that we've grossly over-rated the talent on that side of the ball.
