Here's Mickey explaining Zeke Aug 6 issue

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm not understanding him. It doesn't affect him because he still has a chance to get his 4th next year. But in General it does affect him because holding out past the 6th this year means he can't next year or he will be a rfa instead of a urfa.

Someone like Dak that has a 4 yr deal couldn't do it or he would be rfa at the end of the year instead of a urfa.

That's what I get too.

So, in essence, he could "skip" this "cheap" year of his contract for 3 point whatever million in salary, and then show up for that "5th year" at 9 point whatever million, which would be his fourth accrued season and make him eligible for free agency in 2021.

A "Le'veon Bell" style season-long holdout, but unlike Bell, it would cost Zeke only about $3.6 million.

You got it.

Because he reports facts most of the time instead of making crap up like many do on here.
And respond to me directly, not through other posts.
These facts were already gone over multiple times. So much for making crap up.

Yes. This.
Difference is he still HAS to play that 9.3M season because he couldn't hold out again. So his leverage is ability to sit this season while earning zero to play next season as scheduled with ZERO leverage then.

See Jason of OTC's notes above about this exact thing with regards to Odell.

He can't hold out twice and reach FA. So he has to play and report by August X in one of the two years.
It all feels a lot like tilting at windmills.
DAL has no reason to panic and up the offer.

1. Why is this different than the other first page thread on this subject?

2. Why, at this point, should anyone consider Mickey an authority on anything other than the color of Jerry's boxers?
