Hey, 3 picks today...better than 2. If we can get some players with these 3 guys then things will be looking up. Cyprien, Hunter, a rb + another OL guy and we could be doing pretty good.

Everyone was laughing at the Bengals last year when they took Zeitler, but it turned out to be an excellent pick.

I was pretty upset about the trade last night--but am pumped now. We've got 3 picks today and there are tons of good players available. These two rounds are the strength of the draft

Agreed Risen.

I think it's extremely unlikely Frederick lasts until #47. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Watson or Armstead are there for us in the second.

i think we might sign a FA tackle now. Idk if we get another offensive tackle unless of great value. I think today we cross off either a safety, DT, DE, RB, WR and heck maybe even a TE. We love 2nd round TE's.

Ertz is still there. He would look great in this offense.

He's experienced, smart, strong, tough, and the RKG. Guess what qualities I want from my center?

I'll second that. You need smart guys on the line plus he's the one that makes the line calls. The Patriots have known that for a while. I'm almost sure our running game is going to improve based on this pick alone.

I have Swearinger for my mock but if Cyprien is remotely available I think we should make it happen. My head still hurts from the surprise of the pick at 31 not the positional pick just the talent. I can make the case he could of been had in the second for sure not in the third. There is no way to hide the disgust that was shown in the draft room of the boys no matter how the spin doctors want to start spinning.

I've been partial to Frederick since he declared. Love the size and nastiness. Love the Wisconsin OL factory. Fills a critical need. I just wish he was gotten a little later in the draft.

This is my feelings as well. He is my type of lineman, but I think he ciuld have been taken later in the draft. This was a reach, but they now have a lineman that can move DL off the ball.

Sure it would have been great to get him at 47 instead of 31 but that's easier said than done. The same can be said for every single draft pick. If he is the guy they wanted and had him rated at the top of their board, then not taking him is pure gambling. Do you want to risk losing him? Do you want to have to trade away your 4th rounder to move up for him in the 2nd? Sometimes you have to take the guy you want a little early if there is any doubt that he will be available at your next pick. I've always held the belief that's it's not a reach to take the player you want if you feel he will not make it to your next pick. Yes you will give up some value sometimes but if you evaluation is correct, it will be worth it. Anytime you trade down, you risk losing the player so if you want him, you have to take him and ignore all the talking heads and Internet GMs with their draft guides and limited knowledge.
