A few months back I took an interview for a job my Dad helped me get. Anyway, it was a textile job, a lot of manual labor and all of that. Anyway, after the interview was over I was given a big packet to read and an equally big packet of papers to fill out.

It was my job to understand that horse playing in the premises was disallowed. Reporting illegal substances to management, reporting in to work on time. Making sure I wore the proper attire to my station. This was a rule book. This was manual labor for minimum wage.

Why is it that athletes being paid millions every year can't read an NFL rule book enough to understand what is and isn't a penalty. Here they are getting paid millions of dollars and latching onto receivers jerseys while they sprint with them. Falling down after celebrating, running out of bounds and then back in to make a catch.

I'm sure there's more. I'm not bitter that they make the money they do, they go through a rigorous off season program the majority of the time and work at it all year long. I have a real problem with the fact that half the team hasn't seemed to of picked up an NFL rule book. Hell, there's one available online on NFL.com
