This is a west coast offense that many hoped for, NOT me,
This offense starts with short routes with slants and drags and outside flats, not many 7's or 9 routes to open the D, the D only has to protect the first 10 to 12 yards of the field, its like being in the red zone all game, because the D, you have 8 to 9 people in the box covering the gaps and so there is NO running lanes and when there is it will close up in a short time.
For this offense to be good you have to break open and tackles with the RB and WR's and press and attack the outside and over the middle deep with WR's to get the D out of the box and open up the field and running lanes,
I really do not like Bill C's offense, I didn't in Oakland and I thought it would not work here in the NFC East,
I like to call it the chuck and duck to coin a phrase from Buddy..
I liked and prefered Jason offense, it was a pressing offense and made the D play all the field..
