Here's the problem with the Offense.

This is a west coast offense that many hoped for, NOT me,

This offense starts with short routes with slants and drags and outside flats, not many 7's or 9 routes to open the D, the D only has to protect the first 10 to 12 yards of the field, its like being in the red zone all game, because the D, you have 8 to 9 people in the box covering the gaps and so there is NO running lanes and when there is it will close up in a short time.

For this offense to be good you have to break open and tackles with the RB and WR's and press and attack the outside and over the middle deep with WR's to get the D out of the box and open up the field and running lanes,

I really do not like Bill C's offense, I didn't in Oakland and I thought it would not work here in the NFC East,
I like to call it the chuck and duck to coin a phrase from Buddy..

I liked and prefered Jason offense, it was a pressing offense and made the D play all the field..

Since when was this a West Coast offense? BC is running Garrett's playbook.. And JGs offense never attacked the middle.

I think I understand what he's saying-
It's as close to the WCO as you can get using Garrett's playbook by being selective with the play calls themselves.

I think...

The only point of resemblance seems to be the fact that BC is employing a shorter passing game with more quck slants. But other than that, I see nothing of it. This utterly befuddles my mind that this coaching staff as utterly ignored one Romo's greatest assets as a primary weapon, i.e. his legs.

I think Garrett needs to take out those 2 yards routes and add more slants in. Not out of the complete play book, but out of the game day plan. This way, the boring Callahan can't even call the freaking play cause it's not there.

It's Garrett's offense with some of Callahans influence. The problem is they can't run the football, so you can't effectively use the play action pass. The other glaring problem is we don't make teams pay for blitzing us
