Here's to the ledge jumpers!

Up to this point, I have only heard you say he played well, like you say in the following post:

We won the game, that is good.

If they can make Brunell look good, that should tell you something.

We won in spite of Bledsoe, not because of Bledsoe.
Ehh, Brunell's a streaky QB. It doesn't always take a lousy team to make him look good -- he can do that for himself on occasion. But I'll grant your basic point -- the Houston D sucks.

Go back and re read the thread I stated he made some bad throws at least twice.

at least we agree on this

If they can make Brunell look good, that should tell you something.

It tells me Brunell attempted one pass over 10 yards (true story) Even Skins fans were saying Brunell looked bad in that game because they couldnt pass the ball downfield

We won in spite of Bledsoe, not because of Bledsoe.

I never said we won because of him, but we didnt win in spite of him either. he played well, he "drove the bus"

It must be a drag to live a life where no matter what the outcome of a game is you can't just sit back for a few minutes and savor the win.

Nothing wrong with talking about problems, but sometimes people just seem to go beyond that.

They complain early in the game like the game is over and than get mad at people when they point out the game is 60 minutes and we won.

Whether we play well next week or not...take a deep breath, be thankful for a win and for once actually enjoy the victory instead already complaining again.

Geez people.

I actually think there are a few people that would be happy if we did lose so they could complain more or pull a I told you so post.

:hammer:

My Gawd, the ledge jumping Gnashers and Wailers are funny. I mean, they're annoying as well, but as a phenomenon they can be pretty hysterical. We've got a thread called something like "I never thought we'd be this bad" on a day when we WON BY 27 POINTS. Do other teams' boards do this -- have hundreds and hundreds of negative posts on DAYS THE TEAM WINS?

Thanks for the entertainment, guys. Now back to your Gnashing and Wailing -- I'm sure there's something to complain heartily about.

Did ya watch the first half? The Texans were leading at half time.

You're the voice of reason as always.

I really don't think anyone would have been happy with a loss. This place would have exploded.

And I was in the game thread counseling moderation. We played a bad but not terrible first half. Being down 6-3 was bad but not terrible.

You probably would be shocked.

I know of one poster that ONLY come on this board after a loss so they can push an agenda. No I am not making that up.:(

That's why I call you guys Gnashers and Wailers. You're impossible to make happy. You're only happy when you're terribly unhappy because you don't actually want to be happy. It doesn't make any sense but, then again, that's pretty much my point.

Oh I don't know if you do that...I had another person in mind and they are not what I would consider a romosexual.

I am very happy for the win. There were alot of positives in the win. Bledsoe was just not one of those positives. Notice I haven't said anyone else played bad.

Today was like a ship running its engine at full power, but it left the anchor down. The anchor was Bledsoe.

Or a car driving down the street with the emergency brake on. It could be fast and go faster, but something is holding it back. Unfortunately, that brake is Bledsoe also.

Dude, I'm a giant homer. I just don't like Bledsoe.

Really?

Wow, interesting.

I didn't see the game, due to having to watch the gints here in central N.Y.
But for those of you who did. If we play like we played this week, next week in N.Y., how do you think our chances will be.
Like I said ,I didn't see the game . I had to follow it thru Gamecast on the computer . and from what I saw and read ,we didn't look too good in the first half.
Second half we came around and it looked OK, but not being able to see for myself ,it's hard to know what we looked like. I don't think we can play like we played in the first half next week against the gints at home.
My son,son in law and my daughter went to the sports bar and said that Drew did miss a few open recievers but was O.K. and that our D looked very good.

Just wondering.

If we play like we did the first half we'll lose handily. If we play like we did the second half it'll be a good close game.

I don't understand how beating an opponent 31-0 in the second half is "looking OK."

Bledsoe underperformed against possibly the worst defense in NFL history. If you're happy with mediocrity, then good for you.

If we keep beating the bad teams and struggling and losing against the good teams as is evident thus far we won't make it to the playoffs. Please note the schedule.

Any braying of self-righteousness may very well be short lived.
