Here's to the ledge jumpers!

Just thought it would be hard to judge against Houston.

I didn't see the game, due to having to watch the gints here in central N.Y.
But for those of you who did. If we play like we played this week, next week in N.Y., how do you think our chances will be.
Like I said ,I didn't see the game . I had to follow it thru Gamecast on the computer . and from what I saw and read ,we didn't look too good in the first half.
Second half we came around and it looked OK, but not being able to see for myself ,it's hard to know what we looked like. I don't think we can play like we played in the first half next week against the gints at home.
My son,son in law and my daughter went to the sports bar and said that Drew did miss a few open recievers but was O.K. and that our D looked very good.

Just wondering.
If we play like this in NY, we'll kill 'em cuz the NYG will be in Dallas.

My Bad , I thought we played in N.Y. in our first meeting.
Sorry.

I'm sure there were days when Aikman looked bad against Arizona that we won by 30 points. For some reason no one likes Bledsoe

There were. He enjoyed relatively three years of what I'd call complete non-bashing. Even then he wasn't entirely immune.

The Bledsoe/Romo stuff here is not as bad in general to the Aikman/Walsh stuff. Then it was Troy couldn't win without that OL and Michael.

Bledsoe does, IMO, make too many mistakes for someone of his ability and experience. However those that think Romo would be better against Philly with the same OL playing just as poorly are sadly mistaken. JMO because it is a non-reproducible experiment.

Very well put.

JMO, but I think Romo would have won that game. Our defense kept us in it to the end despite the incessant turnovers/stalled drives by the offense. Romo might have made some mistakes but he certainly wouldn't have made the mistakes Bledsoe did. Like you said, though, we'll never know.

I may be new to this site, but I think I'm about done.. this site is like a harbor for the worst NFL fans ever. Unbelievable how much crap is posted on here. All you experts calling for Romo and booing Bledsoe need to find another team to boo.

Heaven forbid fans wanting to have the best players on the field. It really does sound like you're better off elsewhere.

My Gawd, the ledge jumping Gnashers and Wailers are funny. I mean, they're annoying as well, but as a phenomenon they can be pretty hysterical. We've got a thread called something like "I never thought we'd be this bad" on a day when we WON BY 27 POINTS. Do other teams' boards do this -- have hundreds and hundreds of negative posts on DAYS THE TEAM WINS?

Thanks for the entertainment, guys. Now back to your Gnashing and Wailing -- I'm sure there's something to complain heartily about.

Before you go getting so cocky over whipping the TExans, I'd look at the first half again....then I'd wait till next week against the Giants in NY before getting too uppity.

So far we're 3-2. Those three wins are against:

Washington (2-4)
Tennessee (1-5)
Houston (1-4)

I'm definitely glad we're winning the games we're supposed to. And the closest any of these games has been is 17 points.

On the other hand we lost close games to Jax and Philly on the road that were very winnable but we made too many mistakes and a lot of them by Bledsoe.

I think we have the makings of a real good team. I also think we can only go so far with Bledsoe, which is the same thing I thought last week.

While I agree with you about the booing of Bledsoe, your hasty assumption that this boards patrons are "the worst NFL fans ever" may be the most ignorant statement I've ever seen posted here. There will always be those with whom you disagree with...why let them dictate your actions? I've frequented several cowboys messege boards, and this is one of, if not the best. The use of this board is for the discussion of a interest that we share here, not high-fiving each other. While you may leave still, you'll miss out on a tremendous resource if you are truly a Dallas Cowboys fan.

10 bonus points for using the word Uppity. :laugh1:

However at the same time as you are saying that, it falls back to the original premise of this thread.

People looking before they leap or getting ahead of themselves.

The apologists and flunkies don't want to acknowledge the first half. "If we win, who cares how we get there?" Delusional.

Just as you don't want to acknowledge we put up 31 points in the second half?

We sucked in the first half...it still does not mean a game is over yet.

You know you are not exactly batting a thousand here...you might need a nap or something.

Boy Wayne I admit I'm scared to death of the Giants. We could take a serious punking.

I also approve of the word "uppity". :)

They worry me as well.

Oddly though I just don't know which Giants D we will get.

One that can't get any sacks, or one that is getting sacks left and right.

Probably the D that's getting them from both the left & the right. ;)
