According to Mark McGuire of the Albany Times Union, he turned down three practice squad offers, choosing to walk away from football.

Last Wednesday, two days after getting cut from the Cowboys’ 53-man roster, the rookie out of La Salle Institute and the University of New Hampshire got offered a spot on the team’s practice squad, the agents said.

Sicko turned it down.

The Tennessee Titans called Sunday night with another practice squad offer. He said no.

So did the Buffalo Bills, who called again Monday. No and no, he replied.

We should have never brought him in. He was a waste of a roster spot to someone that would have actually wanted to work and play football, rather than someone who thought he deserved it and take his toys and go home when it doesn't go his way.

Man what a baby! You're lucky you're getting offers Scott!

So he quit...again. So glad this guy isn't on the team anymore.

I was willing to overlook the first time, with the notion that maybe he felt he really couldn't land a spot on a roster.

But his true colors have come out.

What a baby. He has the opportunity to improve his game to try to make a roster next season while still making respectable money for his age and he quits cause it didn't go perfectly.

I was pretty mad we signed him after he "retired" then told the media about it. But now that the Cowboys begged him to join them, then cut him I cant blame the guy for saying screw this I don't want this as my life.

Getting your head bashed in for a living isnt for everybody.

My dad always told me that winners never quit and quitters never win. It's one thing to contemplate quitting, but when you take the offer and play and then quit again, you're hurting the chances of other players that spot could've gone to.

The flip-side to that coin is that if a player shows a predisposition to quit, you don't beg him to sign on. So it's not actually Sicko's fault that he took a roster spot from someone else. That was the Garrett bros'.

im gonna say it again like i said in the last thread.

**** this guy

Especially on the practice squad...those guys don't make enough money to support a family...peanuts for banging heads all day.

You have to really love football or have little else to turn to to go the practice squad route...but it has sure worked for some guys we know. :)

Actually, yes they do. Someone posted it the other day. $5200/week for 16 weeks is pretty good.

I guess, it's all relative. I think I could be convinced to try.

I think 75-85K is enough to raise a family on for a year. Especially with the opportunity to make a squad next year and make 300K.
