Here's what I would do roster wise

It's literally not his only issue (and by the way, that's a big "issue" to struggle when the ball in in the air). Wright might be one of the most overrated guys talked about on this board.

That's not to say he stinks or should be cut. You need to carry at least 6 CBs, with a few that can play STs. That's Wright. He'll likely never be more than that. And that's perfectly fine.
That is his only issue. But yes it is a big issue that can be corrected. Joseph has many more issues. I can tell you if you want to learn.

I don’t know what Grier has yet, but if I were the Cowboys I MIGHT cut all the QBs other than Dak and then bring one back after the cut down to 53 and OT Smith is moved to IR.

If the Cowboys don’t think that they can part with Grier, then you keep him so that a team can’t claim him. I don’t think Rush would be subject to a waiver claim due to longevity plus he sucks.

Grier is the only backup QB who might have enough potential to warrant keeping him around.
Good point, let go with that, I agree that Rush sucks and I'll admit Grier sucks less that Rush.

Oh please do, Mr. CB Expert.

LOL.

The problem with you is that you see any criticism of Wright as an endorsement of Joseph, which isn't the case here. Joseph has his own issues and ain't a threat to crack the Top 3 CBs on this team. Shoot, Bland might have a better shot of doing that, than Wright or Joseph.

I agree with you on backup QB not mattering between the 3. My hope is we sign a QB from another team.

who is our blocking TE on your roster?

7 WRs plus Gallup? What’s the sense of that? If you bring a guy like Fuller in, you are doing so for him to play. So what is the use for your 7th WR if you sign a guy like Fuller? Swap it out with McKeon or a blocking TE from another roster

Gallup isn't going to stay on the 53. I know people keep saying he's back in 2-3 games but I am not sure that's what's going to actually happen. He hasn't even taken any reps in a live practice only jogging and running some basic routes. When he's ready, someone like Houston gets bumped.

He has terrible eyes which shows he watches no film. He has 4.3 speed but doesn't trust it. Doesn't look for the ball (same issue as Wright). Doesn't tackle well. Has bad feet. Can't catch either. What more do you want? Lol

- Sign Fisher to play LT

- Sign Fuller to play WR

53 Man Roster (final after roster machinations like keeping Tyron on roster but then to IR on day 1):

QB (2) - Dak, Grier (or Rush, does it matter? LOL)
RB (3) - Elliott, Pollard, Davis
TE (3) - Schultz, Ferguson, Hendershot
WR (7) - Lamb, Fuller, Tolbert, Brown, Turpin, Fehoko, Houston
OC (2) - Biadasz, Farniok
OG (3) - Smith, Martin, McGovern
OT (4) - Fisher, Steele, Ball, Waletzko

DT (5) - Gallimore, Hill, Odi, Bohanna, Ridgeway
DE (5) - Lawrence, Fowler, Williams, Armstrong, Golston
LB (5) - Parsons, LVE, Cox, Barr, Gifford
CB (6) - Diggs, Brown, Lewis, Joseph, Bland, Wright
S (5) - Kearse, Hooker, Wilson, Bell, Mukamua

K, P, LS (3)

Starting 22:

WR - Lamb
WR - Fuller
WR - Tolbert
TE - Schultz
QB - Dak
TB - Elliott
LT - Fisher
LG - Smith/McGovern
C - Biadasz
RG - Martin
LB - Steele

DE - Lawrence
DT - Gallimore
DT - Hill
DE - Fowler
LB - Parsons
LB - Barr
LB - LVE
CB - Brown
CB - Diggs
S - Kearse
S - Hooker

Lewis is the slot CB, Wilson or Bell could be the third S.

- Fisher is an ideal signing. He can still play a little and likely give you adequate LT play. He's also a vet who doesn't need tons of practice time, so you could work Ball in there a lot and continue to develop him to get ready for down the road.

- Fuller is an ideal #2. I am putting Gallup on PUP. I think the Cowboys are wishful thinking that he's going to be ready by Week 3. Give him a couple more weeks, Fuller can hold the fort down. Then when Gallup comes back, you have a really good Top 3 until Fuller eventually gets hurt (hahaha).

Not my plan but atleast you have one...yea I'm looking at you Jones boys idiots. Thanks for sharing.

You can go with Fisher at age 31 or Peters at age 40, or we can look from within and have Dak in concussion protocol for half the year.

Grier may move up to 2nd back up just cause he is more athletic, i.e., can scramble.
