I'm not surprised by this loss at all. We should have won. We are the better team; the Cowboys know it and the Commanders know it... and yet, we still find some way to lose. Let's face it: we don't typically win important games, especially momentum-building games. We have no freakin' heart and it sickens me.

Last week was an aberration, not the norm.

This was the biggest game of the year thus far... 5-3 at the halfway point, 2-2 division record if we DO WHAT WE'RE SUPPOSED TO DO.

And coming off of last week's very emotional win at Carolina (and after Parcells' "legendary" speech he gave the team last Saturday night), we go out and lay a freakin' egg to a clearly inferior team.

I'm usually much more optimistic after a loss... but this was a season-killer. We're not going to win 6 of our last 8, which is what we'd need to make the playoffs. This team of Tin-Men just aren't capable of winning HUGE games down the stretch, home or away. That's not our personality.

Dumb penalties, key drops, spotty OL play, and mental miscues will be our downfall. I see us at 8-8 or 9-7. You have no idea how hard it is for me to accept this.

Taking a look at the NFC standings, 9-7 just might be enough to get in... but I have no faith in this team in important games. If 9-7 is enough to get in, we'll go 8-8 at best. If 10-6 is what we'd need, we'll go 9-7 at best.

Parcells has said time and time again that he believes this team "has some fight in them". That may be true, but "stupidity" evidently outweights "fight".

I have to concur. We have everything we need to make the playoffs but I think it's clear this is a flawed team. We're just going to fail at the largest moment. That is this team's M.O.

It was the heartbreaking loss to SF in '82 that made me a Cowboys fan for life. And it's games like this that make me love the team even more. But that said, it's hard to put much stock in a team that likes to fail in the most ridiculous ways possible, so often.

The newest edition of the Cowboys is like the one girl you wanted sooo bad but never had the nerve to talk to. Then years later she confesses she felt the same. It leaves you very very empty feeling.

Yep, I agree with you completely this was a killer. I have tried to stay pretty level in my expectations thus far, up until this week that is. I really felt like they would win this game and have a good shot at making a run late in the season as the Oline gelled and Romo started to gain experience. This loss puts and end to all of that and puts a nail in the coffin.

While I don't disagree with a lot of your points, if they win next week that means the went on three road games and came out of it 2-1. I think a lot of people had the team doing that. While this loss stings worse then a jab to the nose, not many had the three games down a all wins. But I do agree that they do not look like a playoff caliber team.

The acid test will come against over the next two weeks, a win against the Cards and good showing against the Colts will show you what this team is made of.

Parcells has spent his whole career trying NOT TO LOSE football games. Jimmy and others play to win football games. It rubs off.

I think 9-7 is the best case

Every ****** time Parcells gets emotional after a win, we lose the next game. Every time.

Every time he doesn't after a win, we lose the next game. We're 4-4 and 29-27 since Bill arrived.
Win one, lose one, etc.
