Here's what we MOST have to worry about

It's 2) Our OL play-will it be consistent unlike last year, and 1) TONY ROMO

Heck-we can have the ULTIMATE FF Injury-LESS Defense, but if Romo and our OL shows flashes of inconsistencies like it did late last year, we'll be 9-7(at best) nonetheless.

Why aren't we having more threads on this rather all these "THE SKY IS FALLING BECAUSE NEWMAN CAN'T PLAY!!!!!!" threads??:bang2:

Is there any way we can amputate to fix the problem? If not then that's why we aren't talking about this.

I believe an upgrade to the offensive line is a given. Leonard Davis >>>> Marco Rivera and the other 4 starters will remain the same. However, with the amount of offensive production we produced last year I do not believe that the season will rest on their shoulders. I also dont agree with your Tony Romo assessment. I believe and this is just my opinion, that we have nothing at all to worry about in Tony Romo. I believe he will be very consistent. Am I saying we will never see him try to make something out of nothing and make a mistake - no im not. With Tony Romo comes some of those mistakes. However, I believe Romo is indeed 1 of our 5 best players on this team and he will NOT make or break our season.

Now if you are talking about making a deep run into the playoffs then yes Tony Romo will have to play as a top 5 QB in the NFL which I think he can. However, make or break to me is the diff between making and not making the playoffs and I have seen nothing to lead me to believe Romo will play that poorly.

In my opinion this season is going to rely on the play of our front seven. IE - the amount of pressure we can get on QBs. As of right now we have nothing to indicate as to why we will pressure the QB more other than wade phillips. Yes his track record is great and I do believe we will improve in that area but right now it still remains a question and to me that is by far this teams biggest question. Everyone wants to continue to question Romo and how he will fare this season. My eyes have seen enough of Romo and I am a believer - as of now I havent seen anything to warrant why this defense will get more pressure. BUt that is only because the real games havent start yet. So come week 1, hopefully we will have our answer.

So in response to all the Newman threads and how tired you are from talking about him....

You mention him in the title of the thread and in your post.

OK.

Our season will depend on our both lines play, IMO.

If we can get to the QB, the D will be a top 5 D in the NFC. If we can't get to the QB, then we will struggle and give up mucho points.

If we can run the ball when we need to, we will be fine on O.

We can be a 11-5 team.
We can be a 5-11 team too.

alas..someone who gets it....this might tick people off who read my posts..but I will post again

average OL play and we will be 9-7 and be a wildcard loser

above average OL play and we FINALLY win a playoff game

good OL play and we are in the NFC championship game

very good/great OL play and we are Super Bowl bound

the OL is the thing that has been wrong with Dallas since the mid 90s...it is ultimatley why the Bill Parcells era was a failure...and if it does not improve..the Wade Phillips era will be a failure as well

I believe the OL will be much better which in-turn will make ROMO even better then last year!

OL play is crucial.

As is QB play. Yeah, Romo 95 rating.

But he also had 13 INTs; 9 fumbles (3 lost) last year.

If he can take care of the ball better and our OL play is improved; offensively, we'll continue to be elite.

I have to say that the least thing I am worried about on this team is the QB. The running back play is a close second of no worries and our OLINE is solid
