When was the last time the Cowboys benched a player due to poor performance? Think real hard. I've tried hard and the answer I come up with is Drew Bledsoe being benched for Romo. There in lies our problem. No starter is scared that they will lose their job.

Technically, Dez the punt returner was benched for Dwayne Harris.

I agree, but we'd have to pretty much bench the entire damn starting 22 from time to time.

McCray was benched for Charlie Peprah yesterday no?

It's hard to bench a player when your Owner/GM undermines you.

Therefore, it starts at the top.

You're right. I think of Austin for RW but that was due to injury. I think of Murray for Felix but that was due to injury. IMHO I think both Felix and Ogletree should not touch the field, and Dunbar and Beasley should get their reps.

They won yesterday. I don't think they had any turnovers. They scored the most points all season. They effectively ended Vick's and Reid's career in Philly, let alone knocked the Eagles out of contention with one fell swoop.

And you want to talk negative?

Agree with Beasley, but Dunbar should never start over a healthy Felix IMO.

Here is what is wrong with the Dallas Cowboys.

If you say he was I will believe you. I had to balance viewing the live broadcast with an attention craving five year old and her barbies. I have not been able to rewatch as yet. :)

McCray still saw a lot of playing time...he was on the field during the Carr interception

even under parcells it wasn't like that....even under jimmy it wasn't like that. so I think your point is meaningless.

Tap the breaks. Admittedly, I wanted Felix to get cut earlier this year and, in hindsight, that may have been premature. Felix is not a starting caliber RB...but I do think he is the best overall back we have got behind Demarco Murray. And thus far, Demarco has had a hard time staying healthy, so it is probably in the Cowboys best interest to keep him.

Leonard Davis was benched once I think.

I think that was only for a few plays because the player they benched him for wasn't getting it done. That's the problem with this team they don't have the depth to bench a starter for a full game. The Cowboys are in desperate need of wins and have to keep their best players out there. They have a number of starters screwing up and it's only going to get worse putting backups in just to send a message.
