for those interested . . . . (I've highlighted my favorites in bold)

42. Jared Cook, TE, South Carolina

43. Jarron Gilbert, DT/DE, San Jose State (we've shown interest in Gilbert)

52. Shonn Greene, RB, Iowa

54. Alex Magee, DT, Purdue

55. Shawn Nelson, TE, S Mississippi

57. Juaquin Iglesias, WR, Oklahoma (we've shown interest in Iglesias)

59. Cornelius Ingram, TE, Florida ---> yet another TE

62. Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech (not one of my favorites)

64. Andre Brown, RB, North Carolina State

66. Bradley Fletcher, CB, Iowa (we've shown interest in him)

67. Lawrence Sidbury, DE/OLB, Richmond (we've shown interest)

68. Mike Wallace, WR, Mississippi

69. Kraig Urbik, OG, Wisconsin

71. James Casey, TE/FB/H-Back, Rice (we've shown interest)

72. Glen Coffee, RB, Alabama

73. Kevin Barnes, CB, Maryland

75. Lardarius Webb, CB, Nicholls State (we've shown interest)

77. Derrick Williams, WR, Penn State (we've shown interest)

78. Rashad Johnson, S, Alabama (we've shown interest)

79. Louis Murphy, WR, Florida

80. Rich Ohrnberger, OG, Penn State

There are quite a few more names left on Goose's Top 100, but some of the ones remaining who I especially like include,

Robert Brewster at 81
Jason Williams at 84
Antoine Caldwell at 85
Mike Thomas at 87
Roy Miller at 90
Duke Robinson at 92
Gerald McRath at 94
Jason Phillips at 95
Tyrone McKenzie at 97
Tony Fiammetta at 98
Deon Butler at 99

As you can see, we should get very good value in Round 4, IMO.

I'd wouldn't mind picking up an extra 4th, tell you the truth. We could possibly package a 5th, 6th, and 7th. Or trade around in the 3rd a bit (a couple of spots) for some one desparate.

And I'll just mention a couple of other names not on Goose's Top 100 I like, including Freeman (LB), Beckwith at LB, Brinkley at LB, D Scott at NT/DE.

What? What is this? Hold on, let me climb back off of the ledge and take a look at this.......Oh, not that bad, it seems that there still is some talent left in the draft.

I found it interesting that there are some highly ranked TEs in the top 60.

There may be a team desparate to get one, or at the very least, picks 65-68 pick one or two TEs, pushing down other good players to us.

Also, there are a couple good RBs left. And similarly, if they are picked early, it could push more quality players down to us.

Derrick Williams... I wouldn't be upset if we took him, but I'd rather we wait a while before taking a look, he may not be worth a 4th.

Thanks Woods.

I was wanting someone to post this.

Thanks, Big Dog.

I'm listening to Goose on The Ticket, and he's really pimping Gilbert, as is Norm.

On a side note, Goose is such a clown... He just insisted "it's a quantity draft, not a quality draft"... And then bashed us for trading back for more picks.

He said there was a dead spot from 45-55 or so... And then said we shouldn't have traded out of that very area.

He asked why the Cowboys traded back when "everyone else was trading up".... Apparently not realizing the basic fact that for every team that trades up, one is trading down.

He comes so close to the Fake Goose sometimes, it's LMAO funny.

Now, back to the one thing he's good at, getting GMs to talk to him and the Top 100.

Good post Woods. I am following Scout.com's rankings this draft instead of Gosselin's (which I had used the previous three years). I've integrated their 357 top players into my draft database as a guide. Here's their remaining Top 100 players grouped by position:

Sure, if that's where we ended up drafting these guys. Instead, we draft good round 4 talent in the beginning of round 3.

Southern Miss alum here. Surprised to see Shawn Nelson still available. 6-5 240 TE who ran a 4.5 at the combine and was all-conference every year.
