Herm Edward, one of the crappier coaches ever to head a NFL team, is predicting that the Dallas Cowboys will be the team to beat in 2010. Herm also said the NY Jets will be very good.

I am sure there will be quite a few people who will say the Cowboys have the best chance to make it to the Super Bowl in 2011.

His prediction is interesting only because never has a team played a Super Bowl in their home stadium. The Dallas Cowboys have that chance next season because the big game will be in Cowboys Stadium.

Imagine that? A Super Bowl team getting home field advantage.

The Cowboys certainly have the talent to do better next season. Tony Romo had his best year as a Cowboys and showed some maturity this year. The defense became one of the better ones in the NFC. The offense did well even though Roy Williams wasn't doing much for the team. Miles Austin exploded. Jason Witten continued to play well and the Cowboys have three very good running backs. The components for a championship team are there.

What else do the Cowboys need to win it all?

This is where I stopped reading. Not because I think Herm is/was a good coach. Rather it just makes the writer sound like a sophmoric moron.

This year's SB was almost like watching a Saints home game.

Man, I hope the Cowboy's bandwagon doesn't get to crowded to early.

I hate crap like this. Why would Dallas be the team to beat? What exactly have they done to make anyone think they will be the top team next year? So they finally won a playoff game. Big deal! They got destroyed the following week.

Should they be a good team? Sure. Predicted to be a superbowl team? No way!

Grain of salt. Herm Edwards destroyed us all year long, all the way to 11-5.

Living in KC I hear him on local radio shows on a regular basis and he was clearly not a fan of the Cowboys. Very negative all year. He was a horrendous coach while in KC. Horrible personnel guy. People have complained about Cowboys drafts but he made the Campo years look good by comparison.

**** we're doomed. See 'ya in 2011...

That will be the lockout year and the year after that the world is going to end, so the Cowboys need to get it done this upcoming season.

By definition, the bandwagon fans are riding the Saints. They will get all the media love this coming season, and will (and should) be the team to beat.

I expect the Saints to get better on defense.

We know how to beat them though - that's why I'm not worried about them.

Herm.............isn't real smart, and if he was he'd still be in the league. His opinion means nothing unfortunately.

The media hyping I guess is going to start really early this year. This way they can spend the entire year, when we have something not go right, talking about how Dallas has let them down again and this is why no one ever feels real comfortable picking them.

Oh well.

Exactly. Besides, how can anyone call a team that just lost by 31 in the playoffs a team to beat? I wish the media would let the Cowboys prove something on the football field instead of anointing them the uncrowned champions every time there's a glimmer of hope. I'm a fan and it kills me, I completely understand why so many other fanbases hate us.

After watching them lose on opening day at new stadium. The fact they would be at home next season if they made it to the SB makes me nervous.

Wade as HC makes me nervous. Especially for that game.

Frankly, I dont think this team can handle that kind of pressure and I think that is Jerry and Wade's fault.
