Goat: Jerry Jones for giving Wade that stupid extension. A blind man could see he was not getting it done. Where would Garrett have this team?

2nd chance - dump Wade after last season - NOPE
3rd chance - dump Wade after 1-4 start - NOPE

Hero: Jason Garrett - He has me believing in Cowboys football again. Restoring the shine to the star.

Goat: Jerry Jones for not addressing the OL and safety positions, too.

I agree Mick, not much was said in here at the time but I thought it was....................delusional. He LIKED Wade and he let it cloud his judgment. Hope the old man learned a lesson. Doubt it though.

how do you know what Garret would have done -- was he ready before now? I like the fact that Jones shows some loyalty.

I respect your comments. But thoroughly disagree.

Goat: the players on this team who rolled over and quit when Romo got hurt. If they had shown so much as a hint of backbone we might still be in the hunt.

Totally agree, but look at what we are accomplishing with Garrett with all the broken pieces?

I am so happy how we are now and yet I think about what could have been.

See sig. I have been saying Wade should have been canned after the 44-6 embarrassment to end the 08 season. The team quit om Wade in that game against the Eagles. Why Jerry would bring back a coach who had his team quit on him in a MUST win game is just mind boggling. Then the team quit on him again last year against the Vikings, yet Jerry brings him back AGAIN. We have wasted 2 extra seasons on Wade that we should have been contending for the SB. Shame on Jerry.

I see what you are saying. BUT I think its something else. I dont think they quit. I think the team was usually unprepared. Results = looks like quitting.

"Mr. Leverage" is the goat of the game, albeit on the other sideline for a change.

Had we dumped Wade after last season (which wouldn't have been the right decision based on the direction we seemed to be going at the time), we wouldn't have Garrett as our head coach most likely. His offense only put up 3 points against the Vikings.

Either way, he should not have been the coach the after that Eagles game. :banghead:

I think that had more to do with MOTIVATION than X's & O's. Motivation is the head coaches job. Wade was terrible at motivating people. So far, Garrett seems to be doing an excellent job of motivating the team.

The Garrett Project has been under way for years. I dont know that I agree with that.

Where can I go on DeLancey Street to get a good kosher pickle? You've never answered that question for me.

Goat: JG for having a huge man love for MB and not playing Choice more.

So, what's the excuse for what Wade did the other seasons? Not backing him up, just pointing out the ridiculousness of it all. Basically, same players, ones that matter at least, yet they roll over from what, not being prepared?

I'm not buying it. If it worked enough to get youa playoff win for the first time in years, then how do you explain a complete meltdown? His camp coaching style didn't change, eveidently. Doesn't make sense.

I must agree. Choice looks like our best back right now. Surely someone as smart as Red can see that.

Smart people doesn't always make the smartest decisions. They sometimes let their emotions or prejudices get in the way of making the most logical decisions.
