No, I am not talking about our favorite poster here, I am talking about Bennett. Anyway he could motion out of the back field and take the place of a WR? Having that big a target in a 3 WR set would help while Austin and Hurd recover.

Or put Witten in solt one side, Bennett in the other with Crayton and TO outside?

I think the guy is a bitof a head case, but he has skills. If he can keep from self destructing, he might be the answer we need on 3rd down.

I can see us using more 2TE sets. But i think we will run more this year. MB3 is getting paid big money. The O-Line run blocking has vastly improved this year thanks to Hudson Houck. Im more exited about MB3 in the back field this year than all the passing options.

True, our running game looks real good with MBIII and Felix, but you can't ignore a Tony Romo and a To and a Witten. I see us still throwing a lot, maybe more play action. But 3rd and 9, you aint handing the ball to Barber.

He barely knows more than 8 plays in the playbook now and you want him to learn more in about a weeks time before we head into Cleveland?

It's a Tom Cruise movie.

8 plays....wow, he must have learned a lot of these in the last week. He always looks lost on the field.

The smart move would be to put more repsonsibilities on the veteran (witten) instead of the Rookie (Bennett).

Let Bennett be a TE before we give him all these other responsibilities.

A few times I wonder if he doesn't all asleep in his 3 point stance at the line of scrimmage because he comes off the line like he is towing a blocking sled.

:laugh2:

How about trying to fix the WR situation, rather than relying on band aid solutions like turning TE's and RBs into WRs? Jerry has not handled the WR situation well and we are now suffering the consequences of that. Hopefully, there is still something he can still do to help the team there. Its not so much the injuries we have now, as it is what happens if TO or Crayton go down in Cleveland? Who are we going to throw to?

this is some cool stuff.
Wasn't there talk on this last HK about using 2 TE sets? That's a bit spooky haha

Bennett definitely has a shot to step up and be an instant star for the team if this scheme plays out. He's looked good blocking in run/pass protection, looked good after the catch. Here's to hoping for the best!
