Hey, DaNooch

It's his first offseason. Jeez, this is when you know the expectations are unrealistic. 7th rounder that's had very minimal time even with his regular season snaps last year! It's a process and even though Garrett brought me to hate that term, it's very much the case here.

Not sure who you're talking to. We're discussing how he's starting to show signs.

Starting to look viable. Showed some nice arm strength, and the ability to see the field. Looks like the game is starting to slow down for him, tho it wasn't always easy to tell w/ the craptastic protection he was blessed w/. It'd be real interesting to see him w/ the 1's

Good lord.
I am strictly talking about His body build and the way he moves not talent level . . . I believe Aaron was the most physically gifted QB to come out of college in the last 25 years and only Josh Allen is even close

It's good to see a positive thread, but there's still been a long list of detractors without giving the kid the proper time to develop. That happens a lot around here. The expectations for many seem a little far fetched in the early stages of these players careers. Especially a 7th round QB.

Maybe play him with the 1st team line instead of the trash he's forced to play behind now...that the only true way of judging him...how good would dak look in the same situation?..we all saw what it was like with just smith out.
This is gonna be a 3 - 4 year project. In which I love . . . i believe the longer QBs sit the better. . . but the realities of the NFL and the salaries will not allow for that. I believe this damages the Young talented QB's that are drafted. The game is so fast that QB's develop bad habits that become a part of their game. I believe they develop these habits trying not to get killed.

Having said that. . . Ben is unique in that He has talent but is extremely Raw. He may be in over his head at this level. But when He plays with confidence He can Dominate (Will he ever play with Confidence in NFL?) The odds are against Him but if He does He will be a lot of fun to watch

Because He was not a High Round Pick and based on what He has shown thus far the Cowboys should be able to stash him on the practice squad a few 2 more years. . . . another benefit of cultivating a low QB is that His Big Pay
Day isn't until His 3rd Contract

If there weren't those taking a Pro/Con stance there would be no discussion . . .

True, but in most situations these players need time. That's the case here. Not just a cut and dry.. he sucks! lol They have him as a 3rd stringer and are trying to develop a young QB like most teams are doing. Some think the grass is always greener. Backup QB especially isn't in a great state around the NFL. Still tough to even find a legit starter. But I'm all for finding players worth developing. Smarts and talent combined at QB. People think it's as easy as a crappy FA signing. Went that route many times too.

Ignore 'em!!! They never change their game, and their schtick is just so mindnumblingly trite.

Plus, he cost next to nothing and it costs us nothing to see if he'll come around. I simply don't understand the fans who chime in to just say someone sucks. Icks.
