I'm afraid that will be the case, we're already reduced to starting warm bodies off the street. Combine that with a "bend don't break" defensive philosophy and no offensive running game and you've got a recipe for a tired, injured DL.

yep. Ware went out yesterday, hatcher and hayden were limping on and off.

We have to just keep getting better on offense and special teams and be outstanding at home.

If two injuries breaks you then your DL was never a team strength!

Don't be silly!!! Of course it is a STRENGTH of the team. Are you going to call Jerry's superior football knowledge and instincts into question? Unbelievable!!!

Does that ref crew have a history of calling it tight on the personal foul stuff? They threw five by my count. Yes, some of those are supposedly automatic, but not always called regardless

As bad as that call was, I still think the out of bounds hit call on Carter was worse. When they threw the flag, I was happy because I thought they were calling it on the Commander player hitting Church out of bounds. I get the out of bounds penalty on Church earlier because it was a close call, but the second one was a joke.

The problem is, Marinelli and I may not be the only ones who have zero confidence in the "automatic review" two minutes before the end of a half, and there is no rational reason to think it is going to work correctly, because the clock continues to run while the replay assistant determines if a review is needed. I can't think of a reason to believe there is time to make a decision to review before the next play is initiated. Maybe there is, maybe there isn't. In fact, there is no way of knowing if the replay assistant has been in the bathroom since the game started. If a challenge flag is thrown, a fair revue is ensured, and the clock is stopped until all angles of the play can be looked at.

Lawrence had a blindside hit on the long KO return that went uncalled...bet he gets fined though.

We actually had a good first half on the calls...holding on them, roughing the passer.

Looks like they got a call at halftime. 2 bad late hits and after Denver setting basketball picks on us last week that offensive PI was a joke.

I actually read his lips.

He said:

'Hello fine chap. I mightily disagree with your call and wish you to reconsider your ruling on the field. Cherry-o.'

I grown to respect Marinelli. We need that kind of passion in our coaches. Its better than smiling after a lost.

Whatever he said, I'm sure it would've blown the roof off the Zone's filter. I read his lips a bit and it didn't sound like he was congratulating them on a good day's work. lol

I'm an expert lip reader. His exact words were, "Hey, Mr. Meanie ref, his knee was down, gosh darnit, heck. Review the play or you're not invited to our Christmas party."

Two injuries? You have to be kidding. Check the ir and injury report and redo the math. Its a hell of a lot more than two. Not trying to be a jerk, but if we had most of the guys we lost, the d line would be great

We lost Ratliff, Spencer, Ben Bass and Tyrone Crawford all to injuries.

When Ware was out that was 5 of our top 6 or 7 defensive lineman injuried. As much as I think Collinsworth is an idiot, it was still a valid observation when he said last night he had never seen an NFL team with that many injuries at one position.

In the bit they showed before camera panned away quickly there were at least 4 expletives, (a couple of very graphic versions that are illegal in most states) out of about 8 words.
i was laughing til i heard the penalty.
rest assured he got his moneys worth.
probably a good steam blowing after the denver debacle and the injury situation.

I don't know where you're coming from on that. The first one was the bogus one since RG3 had not stepped out of bounds when he hit him. The second one he actually hit RG3 in the head while he was long out of bounds.

The refs aren't gonna throw a flag on just general cursing, you know there's plenty of it during a game. My guess is that he got a little too personal with it. You can probably get away with saying "that was a blankety-blank call" but you can't say "Hey ref, you're a blankety-blank blank for missing that call"
Subtle difference, but that's what probably drew the flag.

Maybe I missed the Carter play in real time, I'm only half way through the tape. My bad if I did, but on the Church out of bounds call it was the wrong call, but at least you could see it being a judgement call because RGIII had already left his feet when Church hit him.

That's right, Spencer and last year's draft pick that was penciled in as a key starter this year, whatever his name is... With those two preseason losses this DL hit the skids and hasn't stopped sliding. Ratliff was a lost cause before the season started, everybody knew the odds of him coming back and contributing were a long shot at best.

Your DL is not a strength if you've got nobody behind the starters.
