What about his role if and when he’s moved back to the 53?

I like McFadden's attitude, and honestly the way he ran last year was waaaay better than the way Morris is running this year. I like Morris as a guy, but he seems to have lost any first step he once had. Right now we're losing a ton when Morris gets Zeke's carries.

We don't need safety help. Wilcox has been filling in fine for Church, and he will be back in a few more weeks.
We do miss Mo though. Even though Brown has been playing pretty decent. I think Scandrick is under performing though, or seems to be.

Though I do think Church is much better in coverage in the middle of the field than Wilcox, and there have been more open receivers lately. But is that also be aside Mo is out.

Nice pick up. Indeed, he was evidently considered to be one of the top HS safeties as well.

As to his body not lasting a full game, reason suggests not only is a RB likely to take more punishment since he so routinely has the ball in his hands, but unless his name is Elliott, he's more likely to be on the receiving end of the punishment rather than dishing it out. To the contrary, if McFadden could legitimately play some S (and I'm not sure that that's the case, but who knows), I could get serious about making him our first two-way player in recent memory (though arguably Keith Smith could still play some LB I suppose), at least until Church gets back.

Mcfadden just prefers to run in a power scheme more than a zone scheme.

I was going to say that. I like Morris, but he's been struggling a little bit the past few weeks. McFadden could be a bit more explosive when we want to give Zeke a breather.

I think the Cowboys run a mix of both zone and power blocking. That's just another reason they're so hard to stop.
