Hey SEC defenses, it's called the forward pass.

feel free to try to defend it once in a while. I guess LSU is the only team that understands this.

But, but, but nobody plays defense like the SEC...thankfully.

Peyton Manning
Jay Cutler
Matt Stafford
Eli Manning
Etc

Say hello

While they're not surrendering many points, Ole Miss is looking laughably mediocre against a weak Boise State.

There's a reason Saban lobbies against the spread and no huddle, he looks foolish against it without fail.

those 800 pound defensive tackles don't do to well against the spread.

Thank you SEC Network for hiring Musburger, now I don't have to listen to him during games I actually want to watch.

so they defended them?

Lol

Well, the comment was as if the SEC defenses haven't faced the pass, so I just threw out a couple of examples saying otherwise.

And btw, the coach of SC was spreading it out while he was at Florida decades before the Big 12 caught on.
I'm not an SEC fan, but I think they generally play better defense in the SEC....light years better than most conferences.
Good for the Aggies for being able to move it on them.
Maybe they'll win an SEC title someday.

Decades? That is a bit of a stretch. He started coaching UF in 1990, which is several years before the Big 12 came into existence. OU for one example was spreading it out in Stoops first year in 1999 with Mike Leach as the OC. Leach then went to Tech the following season and ran a spread.

Ah, correct. I should have said about a decade.

The SEC is mightily overrated and of course pretty much every fan of every team anywhere else is going to first notice that, then get annoyed by it.

The run n shoot, fun n gun, spread all do the same basic thing: minimize the impact of the front 7 on a football game.
They were created as equalizers.
You stop them by going to more nickle and dime looks.
