Hey! Where are all the punts hitting the board?

So basically Fisher told him "Kid, there is no way you are going to get a punting job here, so kick the video board, and another team might give you a tryout under the guise that you have a strong leg"

I wouldn't put it past Fisher. :laugh2:

According to "experts" there should have been 5-10 hits on the board by now.

This was one of my Cowboys-related predictions for the year in that prediction thread...that not a single punted ball will hit the boards all year.

That board is dang hard to reach when punting from Kansas City and Denver.

I'd think with that thin air in Denver that we would have been better able to hit the board.

Meanwhile, the integrity of the game has been absolutely decimated with do-overs resulting from at least 20 plays where there were off-setting penalties. It's just disgusting, I tell you. A DO OVER in THE NFL????? It's the end of the world. /sarcasm

If the Buehler was a punter he would have no problem.

2 home games.

20 combined punts.

0 hits.

Hey ESPN, way to over-hype a non-issue!!
:laugh2:

Thanks for the correction :laugh2:

Well, we haven't played there in weeks, so "lack of opportunities" is problem #1. Also, it only has to happen once to embarrass the club and prove the critics right. Nor do I recall anyone predicting that it would be hit with frequency. Some of the bigger legs in the league have yet to hit town, so stay tuned.

What? Since when has ESPN over-hyped issues?

Why would the team be embarrassed if a punt happens to hit the board once or twice a season?
Because the media says that they should be embarrassed?

I'm sure (ahem) the writer meant that the NFL would be embarrassed, not this team, as the NFL approved the stadium design plans....

This is exactly what happened. The Jets claimed him off waivers when the Titans cut him. He was there for less time than it takes to make decent BBQ before the Jets let him go.

Peter King of SI was on Houston radio today. He was teasing but predicted the TV would be hit 19 times. He was bashing the Boys in general. Houston radio talking about the boys...
