I just dropped by to wish all my fellow football fans a happy new year and best wishes.
I am a Eagles Fan and came on here to have an intelligent conversation with other football fans.I am not her to talk smack or get into a pissing match.With that being said on to our matchup on Sunday.
This game will be a tough battle for both teams as we matchup pretty well.
I see this being somewhat close and it could go either way,a shootout or a hard fought low scoring game or it may even be a blow out for one team, we will just have to see which game it turns into.For us we need to stop or rather slow down austin and witten and pressure Romo, for you guys you probably want to try to contain Jackson and put pressure on McNabb, basic stuff.

Matchup wise I see it this way:

Qb= about even they both can be a bit erratic at times
Rb=cowboys have a big edge here
Wr= Eagles slight edge
Te= no question cowboys
o-line= even
d-line = cowboys
Lb=cowboys
secondary=Eagles
special teams=even
kickers=eagles
punters=cowboys
Coaches=Eagles

I really see a close game but anything can happen .Of course I want my team to win but we are gonna have to play at a high level to get it done as you guys are on a roll as well..May the best team win on Sunday and very good luck in the playoffs guys.Win or lose we are both in the playoffs so let's enjoy the ride and keep hope that our respective teams get to the bowl and win it all.

Feel free to comment about the game and what your thoughts are as well.

*** bless

Pretty fair analysis except I see an advantage of our O line over yours, especially with your starting center out.

McNabb is pretty good but Romo is playing better and is healthier.

I would call the coaching even just because you guys have a good history in December. Our coaches have really outdone themselves that last two games and have the team focused on the next game and constant imrpovement. Wade has the defense playing lights out and I expect that to continue.

Thanks for the lack of attitude and the positive intent. I would probably give the Cowboys a bit of an edge in the O-Line dept, as the injury to Jackson is not good timing for you guys. He's a critical part of your offense. That being said, your coaches are likely able to prepare his replcament quite well. Both team's pass rushes may be the key to success. Getting Westbrook back is another factor that can't be ingnored. The running game (or lack thereof) is a question mark for both teams.

Great comments and good points guys.this is how it should be, football fans of opposite teams getting along and having intelligent calm conversations.A little ribbing is ok but sometimes idiots take things to far.
You guys are all right.let me ask you guys this then.

There are many rumors that phillips is done if you guys lose this game or the first game of the playoffs.Do you feel ok with him being the coach or do you want a change.

If we go winless in the playoffs it doesn't matter what the fans want because Wade will be a goner.

BTE welcome to the CowboysZone!

I like Wade in regards to how he relates to his players and I think he's an excellent defensive mind. However, you'll find that most on this board do not believe he's tough enough or can properly motivate a team. I'm on the fence and will let the way this season plays out determine what I would like to see done. If we lose this Sunday and are one and done in the playoffs, I want a change. If we win Sunday and at least one playoff game, I'll be back on the fence. We win two playoff games and I would like to see him stay. Changing coaches almost never produces positive results immediately. There is always an adjustment period and a new coaching staff normally makes some major scheme and personnel changes. In other words, a change normally sets a team back at least for awhile. I think we're built to win now, but then again, I've thought that for the past three years. I'd hate to start with a new coaching staff, but it might not be avoidable if we blow it again.

Offensive line: already addressed that Dallas has the advantage

Special teams: Philadelphia has the advantage. Much of the team's success in several wins has been the direct result of special teams capitalizing on Jackson returning kicks for touchdowns, Akers nailing crucial field goals, etc.

Kickers: Philadelphia has the advantage, but only in field goal kicking. David Buehler's kickoffs are practically second to none.

:welcome: to the Zone. Enjoy your stay.

Not bad analysis from a Philly fan. I would disagree with Romo and Mcnabb being about even. Romo, although prone to crazy impromptu plays earlier this year, has been lights out that last 4 games. I also think our secondary is closer than you believe and our O-Line has an edge in my opinion.

Right that was my first thought. Good assessment on both teams. Maybe our OL a slight advantage. Especially with the recent C injured for the Eagles. But I still have not confirmed that, just heard a quick blurd onthe radio.

However, I give the edge to Romo the way he has been playing lately.

I think the game is going to come down to who makes the Defensive stop at the end of the game.

Edges in certain categories don't really mean much to me. Does Miles make a big play like he did in the first game or is it D Jackson.

Big plays or lack thereof are going to be the decider!

I think Romo goes through cold stretches at times but McNabb is consistently erratic. I think that gives an edge to the Cowboys.

C Jackson Out For Year With Torn ACL

December 28, 2009 | Last Updated: 12/28/09 12:23 PM ET | Comments (1)

The Eagles be without their leader along the offensive line, center Jamaal Jackson, for the remainder of the season, according to head coach Andy Reid.

Jackson suffered a torn ACL in the first quarter of the 30-27 win over the Denver Broncos. He was replaced at center by Nick Cole, who slid over from right guard. Max Jean-Gilles then played right guard.

Reid said that Jackson had an MRI Monday morning and found out that he would miss "the remaining part of the season."

"It's obviously a big loss," Reid said. "He's a good football player. We're fortunate enough to have Nick here, who is a center, who's been playing guard for us. He is a center, so this isn't new territory for him.

"Nick's a good athlete. He looks like a big guy, so to say he's a good athlete it's hard to picture, but he is. He's got great feet and very good hands, and very good quickness."

There were a few miscommunications when Cole stepped in against the Broncos, which Reid termed "procedure calls."

"This week of practicing will help," Reid said. "It'll smooth those type of things out."

Reid said that Mike McGlynn will be Cole's backup at center. At right guard, Reid said Stacy Andrews is also "in the mix" along with Jean-Gilles.

Andrews "keeps getting better with his technique," Reid said. "Some of that is sticking his leg in the ground, his surgically-repaired leg. I think he has more trust in that now."

In other injury news, safety Quintin Demps has an ankle sprain and had an MRI on Monday. Reid said he's getting better, and that, if he can return, he will resume his kickoff return duties.

Quarterback Michael Vick is also "making improvement" with a quad contusion.

"There's a chance we have him back," Reid said.
