Dandy Don was a different animal he could chunk out 80 yarders probably the only QB that could over throw Bullitt Bob And do it drunk while smoking cigarettes' or cigars on the side lines

He can’t true 60 yards. He might be able to throw 55. 59 yards is enough but strong wind might hurt him in the playoffs. Dak doesn’t have a cannon, but I’ve seen him throw 60 yards a few times.

that 3rd and 30 was a long one

Anyone that’s watched hurts knows he doesnt hsve a big arm. That might show up in the playoffs. Romo had an average arm. That’s the cause if his ints. He had Rodgers’s/ Mahomes confidence, but his arm strength was average. He had everything except a big arm. It always showed up in the playoffs when the weather got bad. He doesn’t have russel Wilson like running ability, so that might mask it. I hope tbe weathers bad in the playoffs. The. We can. Sell out o stop the run.

Minchew is a better passer than Hurts. Hurts is good because he is mobile and can run. The bad part is that his our defense achilles heal. Mobile QBs would wreck our defense just like what Justin Fields did to us.

Hidden weaknesses?

Well, they're ugly, their fans have special needs, their stadium smells like urine and their city is in ruins.

However, all that is obviously right out in the open.

All things considered, why do they even make an effort on keeping some problems hidden when you observe the most blatant ones every day. I mean, at some point, it doesn't even matter any more, might as well embrace it.

They got weaker Saturday when players started dropping like flies.

Romo bash disguised as Eagles thread.

Clever.
I mean saying Romo didn’t have the strongest arm isn’t really bashing….but then again I really don’t care about arm strength. These guys can make most throws. If they had an arm like Chad Pennington that’s one thing but it wasn’t that. I guess the bar is Mahomes and Allen…but you don’t need that type of arm talent as you can see by all the picks they’ve thrown.

Phenomenal for him, yes. On the other hand take away his running the ball and you are left with 22 TDs to 5 picks which is good but certainly not stellar.

That’s a weird take. He has 13 rushing TD’s. It’s not like you are throwing out 2-3. If he chose not to run you don’t think he would have more passing td’s? You are basically saying take away 13 of his 35 td’s and he is not so good.

I think he is okay, just not phenomenal. His backup put up similar numbers Saturday night

Hurts being a poor passer is not well hidden if us fans know about it. Stack the box, (putting an extra man to Hurts' right side), and make Hurts beat us with his arm.

PS -That extra man to Hurts' right side would be there to stop the QB read options.

You’re right we do struggle against mobility but to be fair fields has gashed the entire league with his legs
Dude doesn’t throw well but if he can ever get improvement in mechanics and reading the field the bears may have something
Of course their line is putrid so he may get killed before he can develop

I am also agreeing with you Gardner a better passer

Problem is the eagles have fantastic line and 2 quality receivers plus a good TE

you need quality secondary play to beat them as well as good lb play or our score them as we did

I think you have a fair assessment. It’s too soon to tell if he can sustain this years level of production. I think he can but I can understand people not being sold yet.

Even without the running his 104.8 passer rating is very good. And I don't like to play the "take away" game.. Running is part of what makes him great.. Evaluating his season in totality says he's having a phenomenal year. Ironically he had one of his least productive outings of the year against the Cowboys.. but that was back when the defense was a lot stingier. Hopefully when the rematch happens our defense will be a little healthier than it is right now.

That line becomes a little less fantastic without Johnson. Once he went down that left side of our defensive line started to live in their backfield. Only Minshew running around and unloading the ball saved them from 3-4 sacks just in the 4th quarter.

Hurts arm is ok. I live on the east coast and seen his deep ball. It has good velocity and doesn’t float. His issue(in the past) has been in his reads. She his first read isn’t open and he has to hold it that’s when his problems popped up but his arm is fine for the nfl.
