can't say Manning is better than Otto Graham or Bart Starr (to name 2)--he might be a better passer but they called own plays and won titles

How difficult was it for Starr to call plays? Run left or run right. Not that tough. ;)

:lmao:

Just to keep the defense honest, they occasionally threw in a tricky run up the middle. I think Starr drew them up in the dirt with his finger. :D

I think it has to be a quarterback since that's the most important position, and it's really tough to argue with Peyton Manning.

That team has won at least 10 games in each of the last 8 years (and in 10 of the last 11 years).

I'll be the first to say that football is a team sport, and you need more than a QB to win games, but if there was any team in the past couple decades that won because of their QB, it's the Colts. The only other QB in recent memory that meant as much to their team, that I can think of, is John Elway.

i agree with every word

Felix Jones. After this year, we will be begging to sign hm to a 100 million dollar contract and consider that a bargain.

I agree that Peyton is the best QB in the game today..I hold him to such a high standard that I expect so much more from him at times..IE: the drive in the superbowl last year..I fully expected him to drive the colts down the field and tie it up..instead he throws a pick 6 the other way..his playoff resume is so unimpressive that it is very difficult for me to call him the best QB ever..at least right now..he will play for many more seasons and has plenty of time to add to his already stout resume.

As much as I hate the Patriots, I'm not sure I wouldn't say Brady. He has 3 rings, Peyton has 1. They've both been terrific, but Brady has delivered the goods more than Peyton.

Peyton Manning. He calls his own plays and wins championships. AAAND he does it without a running game.

Peyton Manning by far.

Stick him on the Raiders, Lions, Rams, or any other ****ty team in the league and I fully believe they become playoff caliber.

Dont care what anyone says Manning is the greatest QB ever. Yeah yeah he only has one ring but as far as the intangibles, smarts and everything else he brings to the position I dont think there will be another QB like him. For heaven sakes the only way the Saints were able to stop him was by bringing out different defensive schemes each QTR because he's such a freak and remembers defenses schemes and blitz packages.
