Highest Paid Quarterbacks Heading Into 2022

Dak gets to re-up in the not too distant future. Guaranteed that he is salivating looking at that list and knowing he has the Jones boys in a spot.

Just to be clear, the Cardinals giving Murray that crazy contract doesn't somehow let other teams off the hook if they also give their QBs ridiculous contracts. I mean if Murray's price set the market and the Eagles end up giving Hurts a massive deal if he plays OK this year, are the Eagles smart in doing that? Of course not.

We are going to find out a lot about Dak this year. He's paid to be a guy that carries a team. Let's see if he can actually do it and get this team beyond a late season fizzle out or a early playoff dud.

This is the end result of paying a tier 3 QB 40 million $ a year.
Every agent used the Dak deal to get their clients paid more as they are of course better QB than Dak.
Ravens you are on the clock......o_O

Good for Dak to help his peers out....another example of his great leadership. Thank you for pointing that out.

He's got 3 more seasons to play before he is eligible for free agency, and even then there is the franchise tag.

By then if the team hasn't won anything the Cowboys will be ready to move on to another QB anyway, and if they have Dak will be in a better mood to work with them to stay in Dallas knowing he is already rich, is on a high profile team with lots of endorsement opportunities and is a fixture in the community.

Others have opined on the logic of paying a QB roughly 20-25% of the total NFL salary cap, reasoning that perhaps a better approach might be drafting a QB every second or third year and never signing a QB to a second or third contract.

There is some merit to this logic. Basically, the question is this: is it (long-term) better to have a bus driver QB and invest more in other positions or groups?

Obviously, if a talent like Brady, Mahomes, or Rogers comes along, you bet the ranch.

I don't think any GM or owner will overtly adopt this strategy, but suspect more teams probably think along these lines than we might suspect.

There's 140 million other reasons why Adams agreed on a trade to Las Vegas. Adams says 38-year-old Aaron Rodgers' looming retirement is partly the reason he left, besides wanting to be closer to family.

Signing a five-year, $140 million contract w/the Raiders. He's now the highest-paid wideout in the NFL. Yup. Has absolutely nothing to do w/money.

Ps- This lady & Cowboys Nation could care less whether or not Adams' left because of Wodgers salary. Sorry toots!
Lol, "toots".
Awesome.

What's your point? Dak didn't earn his pay. He's one of 4 on this list who didn't.

What a moronic comment.

Did you forget about the a$$whooping my Cowboys gave to your ***** Packers at your ****** bowl of a stadium?

Cowboys 30 -- Packers 16

What's even more moronic is that you're riding his butt over a game that was played 6 years ago. What is the post season record of both franchises since then?

fwiw,
I think Carr makes 19.7 mil in 2022 then starts getting 40 mil next year
Stafford makes 23 mil this year ad then starts making 40 mil a year next year
How much does Prescott make over the next 3-4 years?
