me too. I preferred Thornhill, but am fine with Hill.I like both Hill and Thornhill. Both also filled a need

during the drafts, that who most of our fans wanted. That's the reason for the comparison. Like this year, during the draft at least in the chat, most of folks wanted Thornhill or Hill.Merriman looked like a roid head, ended up being a roid head
Taco looked like a sloth, ended up being a sloth
LVE is being compared to who?
Good or bad, these two will be compared.
how do we know another team wouldn't pick hill in the 3rd? based on what? some pundits on draft having rated him lower. its the teams ranking that matter not the pundits. he probably would have gone latest top of the 3rd. its wishful thinking that we could have had both if we waited.I think the frustration is not that they picked Hill, but that they could of had him AND Thornhill both if they had waited it out a bit longer on Hill to select him. Small school, character questions, he would have likely fallen into the 4th/5th round where he was projected. Then we could be talking about Thornhill, McGovern, Hill and Pollard and would have met more needs and drafted where players were slotted to go.
I think that's what fans are missing. The Cowboys think Hill is going to be a top 3T in the league. If they are right that will make this defense elite. The fastest way to QB is a penetrating DT. Hill very well could be the best that we have had since Ratliff, and has the potential to be absolutely incredible. Hill inside, Lawrence outside are the 2 most important positions in this defense. Put Jaylon and LVE behind them and you got something. I am surprised how many people on this board are complaining about this pick.
Right after he was picked there was a media guy on twitter saying that multiple teams told him they had Hill with a 1st round grade. It was his issue with the coaches that brought his draft stock down. (He wasn't going to fall much past the early 3rd.) Brugler thought there was a good chance that he would be gone before he got to 58.I think the frustration is not that they picked Hill, but that they could of had him AND Thornhill both if they had waited it out a bit longer on Hill to select him. Believe it or not...I can already imagine the thread created the first time Thornhill gets an interception.
quite a few had him late 2 early 3. I don't think Hill makes it to 90. DL were flying off the board.I think the frustration is not that they picked Hill, but that they could of had him AND Thornhill both if they had waited it out a bit longer on Hill to select him.
