We all saw Hilton draw a penalty and then burn Darius Slay for 52 yards on 3rd and 30 yesterday. But I heard something in his postgame interview that made me even happier. He mentioned how he was giving tips to the younger receivers and that CeeDee Lamb used one of his route running suggestions on his second TD catch (the one that tied the game 34-34).

We can criticize Dallas' front office all we want, but from what I can tell bringing in both Hilton and Jason Peters has worked wonders in this locker room.

Cowboys FO had a great offseason. Ironically when most were saying how bad it was.

Hilton is a great 3rd WR. Brown has done well, but we need better at that spot. We say that yesterday.

I was pretty psyched when I saw we signed him. I'd much rather have him over OBJ. OBJ just seems like the type of selfish douchebag that you really don't want on your team. There are receivers that demand the ball because they know they will make plays and help the team win and then there are guys that just want the spotlight so they get hits on Twitter and Instagram...he seems like the latter.

I hope Dallas keeps Hilton in 2023. Even if he only catches a couple passes a game he's exactly the kind of vet you want on your team.

Hilton has different skills than the other receivers. That matters. The price seems right. OBJ, if healthy, is clearly a dynamic player. But is he going to be worth what he wants, and is he his old self?
The only player I really wanted this off-season we didn’t get was Bobby Wagner, but the price may have been too much.

Like the signings. Don’t like that they were signed so late in the season.

Id try and do the same deal with hilton next year. Bring him in around the trade deadline if were doing well. He gets to miss camp, save some wear on his body and be fresh for the last half plus playoffs.

Marvin Jones is going to be a FA. He is a good locker room guy and has been a lot more productive than Hilton.

If I’m not mistaken that’s when they were available. TY wasn’t available until recently.

Right but The point is the FO didn’t address the position groups that the entire fan base knew was going to be a problem until late in the season. There were DT and WR options in free agency at the beginning of the season.

Last 3 years Hilton's YPT has been climbing while OBJ has been sliding. OBJ was 6.5 last year. That's pretty miserable. And OBJ is coming off injury.

Heads up, I'd rather have Hilton.

Gotta love his YPT this year. 52.
