Hitchens penalty

Was it just me or was that bad officiating on that personal foul call on Hitchens. He did nothing wrong in my opinion. That was an awful call I believe. Thoughts? Glad it's just preseason

Refs were totally wrong on that one. Dallas should send that one in for review, and get these type of calls squashed right now. Before the officials get locked into calling penalties on teams thinknig they have a reputation of doing this. Then throw a quick flag.

Okay, stop watching the games and seeing what I and every other person saw...it was a bad call...I was like...HUH...

Just kidding, it was a bad call all the way around. Just terrible...

Literally an atrocious call. I would have been pissed if that happened during a meaningful game. Keep in mind they actually called TWO penalties against him, for basically getting mobbed by the other team. Unreal.

That call was so blatantly wrong that I had to question if ref had affinity for Dolphins.

How can so many refs get that one so wrong? Luckily, it was pre-season but we seem to get a lot of those calls/non-calls during the season at the most inopportune times.

I thought so too at the time, although I wouldn't mind seeing the replay again to fortify my recall. It appeared to me to be a classic case of the official failing to take notice of the Dolphin player's provocative foul and mistakenly penalizing Hitchens for defending himself. Unfortunately, it happens all the time. I mentioned to my son afterwards that the official must've been blind.

So not only did they claim Hitchens started it when he really didn't. They claimed he pulled a facemask, which was actually done by a Dolphins player.

Also, another non call against Romo when they went below the knees on a pass that one of the announcers mentioned. We had 10 penalties in the 1st half alone I believe.

One can't help but notice how many bogus calls the officials have been making in the preseason -- in fact, it boggles my mind how they're screwing up so persistently. Obviously, the players aren't the only ones demonstrating their rustiness. Hopefully they'll manage to get it out of their system before the regular season comes around. Otherwise, the frustration of the fans will surely go off the charts.
