Domenik Hixon (foot, ankle) missed his second straight practice Thursday.

Hixon's status is now uncertain for Week 15. It's also unclear who the Giants would use if Hixon is inactive against Dallas. The probable answer is Sinorice Moss opposite Amani Toomer, with Steve Smith staying in the slot.

This time of year, every team is missing key players. The team that deals with them the best will move on.

I agree-last year at this time, the Giants had just as many injuries, but worse(they played with 2 7th round rookie safeties for a couple of games, Jacobs was hurt, and Bradshaw had yet to get playing time).

I wouldn't read much into any of these injuries.

The Cowboys should be scared of any receiver named Moss. They always seem to kill us.

Honestly without the speed Hixon brings to their vertical this would really, really, really benefit the Dallas defense cause they can certainly man up on all the other guys and play 8 in the box, regardless of whose running the ball for the Giants.

The Hixon loss could be just as hard for them at this time as we'd have it without Owens at this time. Not that I think he's anywhere in Owens league, mind you, but his speed would have to be respected and that might force teams out of the man to man on him. Without him, and no Plax, they dont' really have a guy who scares you deep, at all.

Hixon's loss will hurt them if only because of depth and ???STs. He has speed and our safeties are not the strong point of the defense. Just the fact Jacobs is hurt helps as well. He won't be 100%. While their OL is underrated they are not as good as ours and if Jacobs is out their run game will suffer.

He's also Santana's younger brother, FWIW.

Moss is probably as fast or faster than Hixon...I would hate for his coming out party to be Sunday night. What's the latest on Jacobs?
