Allen Barbre-T- Packers Mar. 19 - 5:58 pm et

Packers OL Allen Barbre is not expected to make the final roster this year.

Barbre, a 2007 fourth-round pick, flopped badly when asked to start the first seven games of last season at right tackle. He has rare athleticism, but it apparently doesn't translate to the field. Zone-blocking clubs like the Commanders, Texans, Raiders, and Seahawks will have interest if he's cut.

If they are going to prove they are bad, than chances are they are bad and cant hack it in the NFL. This is what kills scouts and fans that think they are drafts, mere athleticism isnt just enough NOR does the combine and word of mouth or what your buddy is whispering in your ear.

i was thinking at OG Hostile, in right blocking scheme, i forget what we run sometimes, zone blocking or other, but thought he might be a young OG for us,

do you think he would be good at OG or C in right situation

boy would be funny if the packers drop him and he signs with us, plays at OG for us for years and helps us beat the packers

I think it depends on what team we play.

For example, against Philly, we used man to man blocking.
Against Minnesota, we didn't block.

Depends on the opponent.

And you have to ask if he would fit with the Cowboys?

It doesn't say he's being cut anytime soon. They will take him to camp most likely.
