HOF Game Thread 5 PM PDT

You all keep me posted. Directtv is having a contract issue with our local NBC station.
I had two eggs over easy and refried chorizo beans. Salud!!

Lucky me,as I enjoyed a jigger of Jim beam with an strawberry + ensure chaser not less than 10 minutes ago myself:starspin:

Mannnnn. You know it’s bad when you don’t even know the game is on and you were in canton two weeks ago lol

And then you see Tony Dungy on your screen. Just awful.

This is like it is every year.

Get excited for football. Then you watch a complete **** show of a preseason game.
I was getting ready to say the same thing. I was so pumped for football but this is awful!!! For the preseason I really only get into Dallas. That's about it. I can watch bits and pieces of games here and there. What hurts is teams don't even play their 1st and 2nd stringers the HOF, 1st, and 4th preseason game.

They need to make the HOF game in the regular season. Take one of those London games and move it there. Obviously they'll need more seating but it's silly they build it up and this is what it turns out to be.

Maybe it's just me...but half of this HOF class don't derserve to be in... Ty Law?? Kevin Mawae???

Good players...but not HOF worthy...Somewhere Drew Pearson has got to be shaking his head.

Totally agree with you. Easily one of the worst classes in a long long time. Tony Gonzalez, Pat, Gil, Champ, and Ed Reed are no brainers. I love the NFL HOF process but they let a lot of very good players in, not great players. It's the Hall of Fame not Hall of very good. Law, Robinson, and Mawae are very good players.

I think I saw something where the 2020 class will have 20 guys. I will be pissed if at least two Cowboys aren't in.

How long is that induction show going to be?

The defender lowered his helmet...this is a defensive foul....Jesus...the NFL is broken :banghead:

The way I saw it, the D guy had his head lowered first and not looking, and the O guy was looking right at him when he lowered his to the same level.

No kidding. It's about 4 hours for 8 members. They probably would split it up Friday and Saturday night. I think 20 is a bit silly. There are outliers for sure (Drew Pearson for one!) but if a players has been out of the league 40-50 years and isn't in right now then they don't belong in the HOF. I hope they find snubs not just very good players.

One thing I don't understand is the voting. Take Johnny Robinson. He became eligible in 1977. He is either a HOFer or not... Why wait 40 years? I get there is probably a limit on who gets in but I don't understand how it took him so long and since it did why is he in?
