So Henry is gone, whom we always assumed would eventually slide to safety (although he never really did), and assuming the rumors are true that RW31 will be cut, we are going to be very thin at the safety position.

This would leave us......

It doesn't exactly inspire confidence. It will be interesting to see what we do in either trade, FA, or the draft to upgrade the position.

I am going to go out on a limb and say we trade up, roughly 15 spots and select a Safety...who that safety is, is beyong me...If I had to take a shot in the dark I would guess that kid from Bama.

S is our biggest weakness again on paper. Assuming Roy is cut/traded, all we would really have is Hamlin. Davis is STer. Watkins cant make a tackle without injuring himself. Brown cant tackle AT ALL. Battle at this point at best is JAG.

I don't think Dallas is going to be willing to move up very much for a safety in this draft class (in round 2). Smith will probably go in round one. Delmas and Chung should be gone by pick 51, and I wouldn't move up for either of them, anyway.

Rashad Johnson is the most likey guy to fall or be in range to move up. He ran a 4.56. The faster guys will go first. NFLDraftScout projects him as a third rounder. We'll see. I wouldn't reach for a safety.

We only have three legit corners, and Jenkins needs more reps to be legit! This is a corner league and now we don't have Pacrat (given) and now Henry is gone. Corners aren't cheap and last time I checked Newman is always tweaking something. I do however think Scandrick was going to be the starter opposite Tnew anyway next year.

I think Springs will come to Dallas and replace Henry.

I'm sure we'll end up going into the Draft with more than 2 ILBs on the roster (other than B James and Carp).

No......I just don't get the logic. I'm not mad about Henry...he lost a step anyway. But we better have a plan, because if we think we are filling these holes in the draft think again. Spencer is injury prone, Ellis is old and a crybaby, Carp sucks, No Canty, Spears is average, Burnett is bye bye, and if not injury prone, no safeties that can cover, etc, etc.

Maybe we just sign Ware to a $125million deal and he plays half the positions!!!! He probably could.
