If we fail in 2009 as I suspect we may with Wade at the helm, Holgrem is a good possibility in 2010.

He is taking a year off but then hell be looking for work. He coached Favre to a SB title, can he do it with Romo?

Can we bring in at least one coach who doesn't have bigger boobies than our cheerleaders?

Outsider peaking in. I'm a Falcons fan, but I come in peace.

If the Cowboys want to land a coach like Holmgren, or Cowher, or, for that matter, Schottenheimer - i.e. coaches who can instill a sense of accountability into this very talented roster - Jerry Jones is going to have to give up a tremendous amount of control.

The problem isn't the coach. Well, it is. But with the right coach, this team could be exceptional. But Jones appears to want a sycophant, not a ball coach, as evidenced by the fact that the Cowboys had such a coach in Parcells, but Jones wouldn't let him off the leash.

actually i go the other way. those coaches want to be their own GMs. coming to dallas, they get to be their own GMs. whereas most places they wouldn't be.

not like parcells was run out of town. he quit because this team was killing him.

i think where JJ runs into trouble is when he hires HCs not ready to be their own GM. the pushover coaches that can't run an organization by themselves which then depend upon Jerry to make football decisions.

Exactly. Jerry Jones is the problem...always will be.

Well, let me clarify: I think coaches who try to double as GMs get in way over their heads. It just doesn't work, IMO.

Jerry should hire a GM, and let the GM hire the coach. IMO, that's the best way to fix it.

i agree it doesn't work. hence why every HC has been stripped of it.

but jerry's not stepping down as a GM. so it's the best we can hope for.

No more re-tread coaches!!!!!!!! Hire Spagnulo from the Giants and let him bring in some fresh blood and accountability! Can you imagine the type of defense he might be able to put together....
