For all the grief I gave him over his preseason play, I thought he passed the eyeball test last night. Now I only watched the game once and didn't review it to be sure (the pain of watching that game again would be too much to endure), but I didn't notice any glaring breakdowns other than the appearance of him getting beaten a couple of times or missing a couple of blitzing LB's...none of which caused a sack.

I was just as scared about Holland playing last night as I was Barron. But Holland appeared to do pretty well while Barron played worse than I ever could have imagined. I just wanted to point out that out and give Holland the credit I thought was due. I think he filled in pretty well for Kosier.

Did anyone else notice any positives or negatives about his play last night?

Anybody scared of Holland playing just hasn't watched him play. He's a fully capable starting LG in this league, especially for a man scheme. An example of his skills (strength) that he brings to this offense will be the TD throw to Miles. Watch him, he's one on one with Haynesworth who tries to bullrush him but gets nowhere.

Overall he seemed to do okay. Not bad for a backup player.

I agree. Most of the pressure on Romo seemed to come from the middle over to the right side of the line. The left side seemed to hold up fairly well.
