A HUGE win vs a VERY good & well coached team on the road...
This is the type of game that can build a champion...
Sure many mistakes were made and we could have laid down & lost...
But we didn't, we kept fighting, vets made plays, rookies made plays, the team grew as a WHOLE...
The D is a work in progress and I can't help but think we have a few more cards up our sleeves for the Deadskins on MNF!
Witten was taken out and we were forced to go to other players, Bledsoe played well and earned the TEAMS respect for a gutty win!
Crayton is no longer a no name, but then the Skins already knew him right?
I LOVED how even when JJ was getting shut down he kept on fighting and had some impressive runs at the end...
The Oline should only improve...
Polite did make some mistakes in pass blocking and should learn & improve as well...He seemed to run block much better then Barnes ever did...
KO return sucked, Barber just isn't as instinctive as I hoped, Perhaps now Thompson gets another try?
KO coverage was even worse...Didn't seem like we ever even made Sproles move sideways at all...Hopefully we get that improved in a hurry!
Cortez might be gone eventually, but he did lay some wood making 2 tackles that might have saved TD's...
Ware was a impressive player in his first game...The guy will improve & learn & be much more effective on turf next Monday night, yes he was caught inside a few times, but lets keep coaching and get him to contain better...I still think we need to use more stunts to free him up some & make the Oline have to make calls on the fly...
We should be fine vs the Skins, they have a great D, but they can be beat, I watched them vs the Bears and if we contain Portus & lay some hits on him, we should be able to produce 3 turnovers vs them...
I loved the Henry signing then and even more now...Tough guy, good hands...
