Remember we lost 2 Firsts to get Galloway. There have not been that many really top offensive Skill players that were around for us to get- and we usually had a much better D player there to take (Roy, Newman for 2). We passed on Moss for obvious reasons; after that- jsut who could we have taken? Now of course we took losers like Carver but still- jsut who was right there that has turned out great as a QB, RB, WR, TE?

Drew Brees... yeah he was taken in the 2nd round, but near the beginning of that round. Or Tom Brady . We would have been the laughing stock of the league had we taken him in the 1st round, but now we would be geniuses.

It doesn't have much to do with us not taking a offensive player in the first round. Our offense has not been potent since our pro bowl players left without getting replaced. Those players can be drafted in any round.

We're way overdue.

Man, I hated LaFluer more than any other Cowboy I can think of. I remember that year it took forever for Emmitt to get his first td, and then when it looked like he finally got it LaFluer was called for holding. I know it's harsh, but I was young then and Emmitt was my hero, so I just never forgave him for that.
