I believe this year is where we get that back in our arsenal like in the 70's ,early 80's and of course the early 90's.

I fully expect tomorrow night to be the loudest game at the new stadium.

And it will carry on to the rest of our home games..

Hope you're right.

won't be much of an advantage if the team comes out flat

Which I don't expect to happen, however this game hinges on our D-Line wreaking havoc. We know Romo and co. will keep the game close, I hope the defense will do its part.

It would be so much better if corporations would quit buying so many tickets. So many non-Cowboys fans (or even the other teams fans) go to games due to corporate tickets that it is so quiet many times that it should be.

Yep. It sucks that the loud, crazy, die-hard fans (me) can't go to the games because they're sold out or too damn expensive.

I've literally never been able to go to a game. Sad. That will hopefully change in the next couple years though.

I don't get to go to too many games in Dallas now that I live in the NYC area. The next time I do, if I've got an extra ticket (some times I do!) maybe I will look you up.

(Ask @Shunpike, I invite random people to games sometimes)

I would totally be down for that. I could probably afford one of those $12 stadium Budweisers for you :p

I would love a college atmosphere at AT&T Sunday night. The Cowboys are road warriors if last year is any indication. Adding HFA would make this a fun season.

The problem is amplified by the fact that the AT&T Stadium is a vacation destination for many fans of other teams. It's a friendly and welcoming environment for fans of other teams, unlike other team's stadiums, and its proximity to both east and west coasts along with it being a major airport hub make it ideal for a lot of people to fly in, go spend time in the city, go to the game, then immediately fly back home. The Cowboys are fortunate that they have a huge fan base spread all over the country as that helps compensate for the heavy influx of non-Cowboys fans at home in AT&T Stadium by giving the Cowboys a home-stadium feel in other team's stadiums.

Unlike the Cowboys who have fans living all over the country, most Steelers fans tend to travel to away games rather than live there, but not for the reasons everyone believes. There is a long waiting list for Steelers season tickets, so Steelers fans have an easier time travelling to other stadiums to get Steelers tickets and typically make a vacation out of it.

Sorry but I don't see Jerry World ever becoming a consistent home field advantage. I've been to Cowboy games where it was a neutral field at best. The fans don't know when to cheer and when to be quiet and sometimes they don't even get all that loud by NFL standards. Due to the ticket sales practices adopted by the Jones' and league, this will not change. Most season ticket holders that do not attend games have no issue at all with those seats being occupied by opponent's fans.

On the other hand, I've been to Cowboys/Cardinals games in AZ that the Cowboys fans dominated by far. I wonder if that happens in other stadiums? Maybe that advantage helps the Boys be the road warriors that they have become. (undefeated on the road last regular season)

Hopefully with higher expectations people will hold on to their tickets, show up and, you know, root for Dallas.

Naw, I'm not buying into the Homefield Advantage isn't growing, With the addition of the newest facility next season, and at least part of the Training Camp being at the new Ford complex...the homefield will start to be functional. And that will be a large part of the picture for this season. The process is set, and the team will earn the excitement that will in turn drive all the fans, whether with deep pockets or not. That is what great football does...

Our home field advantage is not having to face our opponent when they have a true home field advantage, if that makes any sense.

It's an art museum with Jerry's ego hanging overhead.

My girlfriend and I flew in from Indiana for the game. We will be rockin!
