Only a couple of wild card teams have ever won it. Offhand the 1980 Raiders might be the lowest ranked team to win it all.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Home field advantage is vastly overrated in the NFL. It doesnt mean NEAR as much as it does in college football or college basketball or even the NBA. The fans arent as close as they are in basketball, and in CF the crowds are 1: Usually bigger and 2: Have more spirit and will to cheer. College kids feed off of emotion, while a good NFL player should be able to put emotion aside.
