sorry if this is in the wrong place but my wife is wanting to surprise me. Well not really surprise anymore , by buying me a travel package to see a home game in ATT Stadium in 2018 for my 50th birthday. I have never seen a home game but always seen away games. I have always wanted to see a home game and I am very grateful to my wife that she wants to bestow this on me. I see allot of cool packages online , any recommendations ? What do prices run on average for an official tour and game day package ? Probably looking at a September to early October home game ? What company should we go through? Any tips would be greatly appreciated ? Thank you in advance ?

My wife and I went through Star Sports tours on the Dallas Cowboys website this season and saw the Rams game. It wasnt cheap by any means but the experience was awesome. We stayed at the new Omni hotel right at the Star practice facility and toured the Star, got to go to a meet and greet to meet a few players and some of the cheerleaders, got to ask Bryan Broadus some questions at the meet and greet, had Jaylon Smith personally sign my jersey. We also got an upgraded package at no charge from them the week before we left. Got 50 yard line club level seats with free beer and food for the entire game and got the same at the official tail gate party before and after the game. Also got to tour the stadium the day after. Overall is was a great experience to say we done it.

The Cowboys have their own travel package.

If not I’d suggest staying at the Gaylord Texan , the official Cowboys hotel where they stay at for home games. It’s a must visit at least. Down the street in Grapevine is the official Cowboys golf course and club open to the public.

If on a more limited budget several motels in Arlington offer free shuttles to the game.

Thanks ... looking at Star sports tours ..,can book lowest prices for $200 yet they don’t show any prices ? I’m assuming 500-900 each person ?

You have to click on the individual packages. They offer several different packages and they go up in $$$ the higher level you go. I think we chose the silver package and they upgraded us the week before we left to one of the top tier packages for free. They are top notch IMO. The Omni at the Star is REALLY nice. They bussed us to the Gaylord Texan the day before the game for the meet and greet.

Why would you want to give this team a penny of your money?

I expected this from someone ....
thank you for your concern , I choose to do this as I am a cowboys fan for 40++ years and want the opportunity to see a home game at least once in my lifetime .. I am a fan .. no matter what
Thank you though for your tip .. I will put your advice in the bitter and miserable don’t waste the money to see the team file

I am sure you spend money on stuff that others would not.
When I had my season tickets, people would not ask why I spent money on it, but just said why spend the money.

As I asked them the same of golf. I didn't say it was a waste of money, as it is not if it is something you like to do. I liked having the tickets and going to the games as they like golf and smoking. It was about spending money.

So we figured it up, but I knew they were not telling me all of their expenses, like how many golf balls they actually lost or bought.

They spent just as much money and some more, on golfing and then add in their cigarettes, it was a lot more, in a year than I spent on my tickets.

Yeah, they had free margaritas and beer and food at the before and after tailgate and before and during the game if you do the VIP tour package.
If I remember correctly, it was about $1,500 each but that included the airfare as well. Was worth it to us just for the experience alone. Would love to go back again but would probably just buy game tickets only and stay near the stayjum(stadium).

Doesn’t sound that bad at all. Those clubs level 50 yard line tickets can’t be cheap.

Well I'm sure they were more than we paid, but they offered us a free upgrade for those VIP club level seats, so I was like "sure, why not!" Our seats were right under the broadcast booth and were about 10 steps below the bar! LOL! We also ran into Moose Johnston coming out of the elevator on his way up to the booth.

I went to my first home game last year vs the rams, i stayed at the Hilton Arlington, its a $6 uber to the stadium, hotel was nice we got to stay on the top floor facing six flags and the stadium. I tailgated in lot 10 with my borracho tailgate club members from Texas, i hung out with Randy White, and Eugene Lockhart at the tail gate tavern. Toured the stadium and visited the star in Frisco. It was a nice experience and its konda funny that i just called the hilton today to lock in my rates for this years visit in September. $550 for 3 nights.
