Here's a fact to chew on this week: The Cowboys have yet to win a home opener in their new stadium.

They dropped a 27-20 decision to the Bears last season and a 33-31 barn burner to the Giants the previous season.

Next week, they open the season at home against the Grossman-led Commanders.

And they're really, really banged up, which is why we'll probably win. That's how the NFL works sometimes.

Very true. It's peculiar the things that will rally a team.

1st game at home with a inspiring win on Monday Night?

I expect the Cowboys too put together their 1st full game of the season and dominate the Skins.

Given the Cowboys' ever-growing injury list, the defense may need to carry the team next week.

Well that's what good teams do. I really believe it will be a major sign that this team is turning the corner if they can rally next week and win that game with a number of key guys out. You know Wade's teams would have folded like a cheap suit.
